If anyone wondered what else we missed last year Danny Brough has just shown us over the last three Scotland games who should be Huddersfield Captain for 2017 and what England lost when McNamara chose not to pick him.

Passion, pride, encouragement and game management Broughy has it in spades. Captain Danny again for me please he might lose it occasionally but we missed his captaincy/leadership big style last year hopefully Rick Stone has been watching !!

Tough call for Rick to make. He certainly led by example on the pitch. Not sure of the details of why he was stripped of his captaincy but lessons will of been learned and he'll have a point to prove wether he gets it back or not.
I hope we get the Brough who leads by example next season whatever status he has.

Brough for captain 100% No doubt about it. In fact, you make a really good point.. Out of all the reasons people have given for our season, no.one has mentioned the factor of Brough losing the captaincy...

To get the best out of Brough, you have to make him captain. Get the best out of him and you get the best out of the team. And we definitely didn't see the best of Brough last year. Yoi could say he lost us some games...

It's a no brainier, Brough all the way for me. He leads by example and thrives with the responsibility, it was a massive balls up by Anderson to strip him of it last season.

That's a massive statement to make as we don't know exactly what happened.

See your point jools, but at the end of the day Brough is still here while Anderson is gone, and who knows how much difference Brough not being captain made, certainly didn't seem to help.

brough still is the leader on the pitch anyway, just do abit more talking on sky sports after the game if he gets it back officially

And can speak to the referee without being penalised and the ref having to listen which helps.

We need a system where Hinchcliffe speaks to the ref as captain, but actually Brough is the proper captain, that saves Broughy getting his hair off with the ref but he has the say over the players on field.

Joint captains ?

I prefer the idea of a leadership group similar to a couple of years back. Brough aside they have all left but I'd like to see the same again. A group of say Brough, Hinchy, Leroy, Rapira would be the way to go in my opinion.
