Bottom line is we have had 5 players leave and no one come in. (apart from the Bradford 3 we all know about signed last year)

If Wood stayed and Connor, Johnson and Grix accepted the new deals offered we would have had them along with the Bradford so if Crabtree, Wood, Connor, Johnson and Grixs wages equals the Bradford 3s then someone needs shooting.

Is next year just going to be a transitional year and to survive relegation till Stone can get his squad?

Presently I expect us to finish bottom 4 with Widnes, Wakefield and/or Leigh or Salford.

EVERYONE is strengthening and we are going backwards.

Anderson and Thewlis have crippled us. Signing Gaskell to play alongside Brough and Brierley to play full back.

Were now in a position where Stone doesn't see Brierley as a full back so were left with No full back and 4 players in Brough, Brierley, Gaskell & Ellis going for 2 positions.

Our biggest prop has retired and replacing with Clough whos small enough to be a hooker and average at best and crocked half the time.

Hate to be negative but things are not looking good for us at all at the moment.

We are now going into pre season with no full back and no new signings announced.

IF Anderson had stayed if we did not get relegated last year we would have this season coming.

It's OK, if Trump wins in the US we'll be ash by the weekend


What happened was we had to fight our in therror middle 8 and weren't secure till the last week which means we could make zero plans, we're 6 weeks behind the top 8 clubs, and a few behind the likes of Leigh and Leeds

So our planning is hampered, we have lost a few players yes, but imo players we could stand to lose - Ellis will go to 9 with Leeming, Brough and Brierly will play halves and Simpson to fullback

All good players in good positions

Crabtree is gone, but Smith is like a new player, Sebastian or Taai will move to prop and we have others so no loss there

So it's no disaster yet by a long shot, we will make announcements on the team soon, in the time best for the club

You want disaster, be an HKR fan (or a Wakey fan)

maybe we are waiting for certain players to fulfil their international duties before announcing anything

we couldnt make many plans with us not even knowing what league we was going to play in last back end of season

plus our hands may be tied with 3 players signing from bulls ages ago so not leaving much cap space to play with which mamo may well take up!

Its all quiet so that leads me to think things are afoot on the signing front. I can't believe we are up to the cap after losing Grix, Crabtree, Wood, Connor, Johnson, although the latter 3 won't have been on massive wages. Although we made 3 signings at the back end of the year, we also lost Robinson and Ferres.
I reckon theres more to come.

We won't be up to the cap we'll just keeping our cards very close to our chest on new signings instead of doing our recruitment in the public domain. They'll have some players lined up but they could still be playing in a comp, still under contract, mulling over a move or mulling over a move to the UK. If I remember correctly, in the past when we've brought in overseas players they've joined in preseason training later so there's not a massive rush to get them in at the moment.

If it comes to February and we've signed no one I'd be a tad worried but at the moment I'm not too fussed and have full faith in Stone and the management at Fartown that come the start of SL we'll be fighting fit and added to our squad in the key areas we need to.

the oversea(S) player come around christmas time so no rush there either
