very surprised at having 3 named, Jerry was obvious, Leroy, i thought had a chance, with his end of season form, but didn't think Ferres had any chance, well done to all 3 of them though.

wonder now if steve mac will possibly play Leeds pair of Hall & Watkins Bateman & Burgess of Wigan and our pair of Cudjoe & McGillvary?

Really pleased for Jerry - but surely not even Macca could have overlooked the top try scorer in SL??? Well deserved and really looking forward to seeing how he goes. Good for Leroy too - on his day as good as any. As for Brett only surprised that after a long layoff he got in - he is a very versatile player so gives us lots of options and cover for injuries during games. Well done to all of them!!!

Actually I'm as pleased for Cudjo as I am for Mcgilvray who has really earned his place. Cudjo has come back strongly in the 8s league games, getting into the England setup will probably add to that momentum, Really surprised at Ferris getting in, but good luck to all of them.

hope jerry has a better time than when he last played for the england knights and tore his pec and had to come off!

I gave up a long time ago in trying to work out mcbanana's method in picking his team, he's never been capable of picking the best team and never will. It bemuses me why nobody at the RFL gets involved and has a quiet word in his ear, or do they just let him get on with it?

So then Burgess and Hall, grand finalists, suggesting playing for superior teams, yet Jerry is top try scorer in a what, lesser team, even more reason for him to have a strong case as doers his centre who was instrumental in forming a lethal partnership for large parts of the season and certainly the 8's

doesn't mean they've been better individually, even the most one eyed, staunchest Leeds fans will unlikely try and argue that Hall has had a better season than Jerry.
Hall was always gonna be 1st choice and apart from being disappointed from a club point of view i think these 2 will do a good job, Macca is saving Jerry for the big games

hall has proven himself for england and is a great finisher

burgess is top class

id love to see jerry instead on the wing but cant complain at the two ahead of him at moment, sure he would be first to say that too

Ferres was absolutely superb and pushed Bateman - left centre - hard for MOM. France were dire but England looked very good though the didn't get any of a defensive work out before next week. TBH, we only went to see Jerry make his debut but of course, that idiot MacBanana had other ideas. Despite the awful opposition, neither Burgess nor Hall really impressed so Jerry may yet play in the tournament.
The Folk sitting near us - Wigan, Saints and Wire - all admitted to varying levels of disbelief that Jerry didn't play - he'd've had a field day.

There's alot of competition for the wing spots. Briscoe didn't even make the squad full stop.

Burgess has that freakish extra yard of pace over the long distance which is always hard to ignore and Hall is england's all time top try scorer.

No it some times feels like RL hangs on in France by its finger nails. Maybe the high profile of French RU and the amount of money swilling around. makes it hard to recruit into the game at grass roots level?

nice for Brett yes, but hardly a career defining moment IMO,

it appears that the French team and set up have or are going backwards.
for me, we should look to other options for warm up games now.
