didnt expect to win today but they got my hopes up with the first half, once again failed to produce another 40, very frustrating

Let`s be fair about this. We were playing well up to being 18-16 up. Then the officials including the touch judge Hicks decide to who is going to win the game. I don`t like to blame the ref, but we were robbed of field position on numerous times, and also McGilvary was tackled in the air and Wigan scored from it. In fact the interviewer on Radio Leeds commented how bad the officials were, so that must say something,as neutral people don`t usually complain about refs.

Oh dear.

We know what we're getting from Child - he was rubbish, again, but he doesn't throw silly passes or make half ar$ed attempts to make a tackle, the game was already going from us when he started 'missing things' so no blame from me.

3 home games we've had childs 3 defeats (salford, saints and today) Don't tell me calls even themselves out , when this guy is reffing. He is the most incompetent official (missed chases assault on ferres) and then puts on report blatant knees on broughy. Refs like this guy are turning people off our great game.

Thought that Bowen kicked out at brough as he came in to tackle, studs too. Might be wrong but that's what it looked like. Anyway we blew that big time should gone in 12-18 up. Why didn't brough kick through for broughton rather than send down the line to wardle etc. For the love of god, the guy is fast and we just don't use it, did you see him catch up brough when he scored! Why do we not use this speed? At the very least its an option.in the first half we created chances like we'd not done this season unfortunately we didnt take most of them, that's why we lost not because of the bell end with the whistle.

What did you think to both Huby's and Crabtrees tries at our place the other week

Or did you moan about how you were awarded the win when you didn't deserve it?

Hubys was a try. Crabtree wasn't in my opinion. We still out played you and deserved the win. Just as today against Wigan we didn't.

The reason for the Giants fading are obvious. They had only 39% possession in the game. This led to the Giants making 341 tackles compared to Wigans 253. They have to start respecting possession more as you cannot beat a side like Wigan if you keep handing over possession.

We actually put in more of an 80 minutte game than at any other time this season.

The problem is our in-game management sucks. We bombed 2 clear cut chances in the first half when we had Wigan on the rack. There are always going to be ebbs and flows in the game. There are always going to be times when you are dominant and times when the other guys have you under the cosh. What we failed to do was turn our advantage into points and prevent Wigan from doing the same.

Wigan simply did the opposite. They created enough chances in a poor first half for them to keep them in the game and then used the possession and territory in the second to gain an advantage.

We also have a general plan of kicking deep and trying to contain the opposition deep

Good plan against the likes of wakey or Widnes but against Wigan or Leeds who can go 80+ m it's just giving possession away

It was a typical Giants display. Until we stop giving silly penalities away, throwing poor passes and dropping the ball as frequently as we do, we'll always struggle to control the game and against the better sides we'll more often than not get found out. It's so frustating as cut out the silly mistakes and ill-discipline and we're not that far away.

That's spot-on. How youse guys failed to score when Bowen had that horrible dropped ball just a few yards out in the first half, I'll never know. I thought we were a bit lucky to go in all square at h-t, but we were good value for the win on the back of that second-half showing.

Castleford fans still not over the defeat we gave them the other week! We were on the end of a few debatable calls v catalans last week you know too

as for this game we had a great chance to go 18-6 up just before half time when wardle broke through and had broughton on his outside but we blew it.... then wigan went and scored



but even at 18-6 up we may not have won as we only do 40mins... 16-0 up v catalans and drew ...another game which should have been over at half time (connor not picking the ball up to score) got to take the chances at this level

Thought we were pretty poor in the first half but much improved in the 2nd which is a turnaround

I think the conditions in the first half dampened things, and I think we were the better side despite the scoreboard

Main thing was we seemed to have more fluency and confidence in the second half
