| Well so far Mr Bent Ham has ended our Challenge Cup and LLS chances with two controversial calls will he now get chance for his hat trick in the play offs ???
He should now get nowhere near a Huddersfield match again this season, in the USA we'd be sueing him for lost revenue !!
I have never minded losing when we give 100% or the decisions against us are fair!!
However from the Challenge Cup final in 2009 as video ref onwards we have had too many dubious calls against us from Bent Ham for it to be coincidence or error.
Even Cummings said no try and Stevo was still arguing no try at the end.
The final amazement was Monaghan arguing over Cudjoes intercept from dummy half which he said cost Warrington 1pt not the 6pts Bent Ham cost us. This time the cameras and pundits showed it was legal.
The time has come for the RFL to keep Bent Ham away from us or our Grand Final hopes will disappear over another inept call or two from Bent Ham and I make no apology for changing his name as he is a disgrace !!!!
For clarity of understanding inept is a polite way of putting it !!!

| Ironically If Monaghan hadn't tried to slow things down, when they were a point up with a couple of minutes to go, leroy probably wouldn't have had the chance to intercept. A friend of mine spoke to Bentham in London a few seasons ago and he admitted he wasn't a fan of Huddersfield.....

| Reminds me of Russell Smith
He used to do us every chance he could
But yeah, I'm thinking the club could compile a dossier to take to the RFL

| It is becoming something of a coincidence with that particular ref and our club, but complaining will do nothing but tag our club/supporters/coaches etc as whingers i'm afraid.....in the eyes of the RFL their ref's can do no wrong and when they do it is basically ignored.

That last bit isn't true. It isn't ignored they generally retrospectively change the interpretation of the rule so that the ref turns out to be right. Watch out for the new rule next year when the ball doesn't have to touch the line but only touching a player who's touching the line.

| I really dislike this ref! Wether it's a coincidence that he's made bad calls against us doesn't make a difference to me. Wether it's a dislike for the giants or not.. It's still awful reffing.
I personally think it's just coincidence it's been against us that he's made some awful calls. I don't think he'd dare just purposely go out to destroy a team.
End of the day WE as a team gave up that game.. As we did against Saints in the cup. We lose the control of a game too easily.
That needs to be looked at by Paul Anderson.

| I honestly think the only thing we can do is look forward to his retirement from the game as nothing is going to change with the RFL.
They won't say anything publicly and it will once again be swept under the carpet, but I wonder if anything is actually said behind closed doors? Surely his decision making must have a few questions to be answered during the Referee's games review on a Monday?

| The NRL would have sacked him a long time ago. IIRC a couple of years back they sacked 2 video refs for a blatantly wrong decision, but this isn't Oz, we have to put up with a bunch of self serving to$$ers at Red Hall.

| There needs to be a certain standard that refs of our game should be at.
Everyone makes mistakes in their jobs, but when so many of his decisions are coming into question he needs to be reviewed! Also if the RFL want to keep the "it's a fix" headlines out of the way of the GF final, they need to keep Bentham away from our games.

| I think we should really push this and get it into the players heards that there is a conspiracy against us.
Then we can always blame the ref when we dont get a result.
In fact maybe the next time we get Bentham in charge of a game the playerrs could not take to the pitch and concede the game without bothering to go through the rigmarole of playing and then being stitched up.
Alternatively we could get intio a lead and not switch off and allow any dodgy decisions to affect the reult.
The silly penalties we give away the powder puff tackling as players go to sleep etc etc.
AS TBC said on another thread.
Quote The biggest problem for me is there are 5 Giants players in that picture. Ben Harrison should have been nowhere near the line in the first place. Credit to him for getting the ball to where he did and for bringing doubt into the refs mind. '"
I have said it before and say it again. It is not the refs that defeat us it is the inability of ANY player at Fartown to seemingly concentrate for 80 minutes without having a nap.
If you are two scores better than your opponents then the odd reffing decision will not affect you too much.

| Of course we need to learn to play the full 80 - but in games that are so important at this end of the season - every point matters!! Bad decisions are not only annoying Rugby League followers, but they have probably cost our club income from missed CC games and potential of LLS celebrations once again.
Yes, we as a team need to step up and be the best we can for the WHOLE game in which they'll get a b****cking from PA.....but the refs also need to do the same - who's b****cking them!!??

| DG - Kind of what i said at the game, yes the VR decision for the Harrison try was wrong but if the 3/4 men clinging hold of him had have tackled him rather than just grabbing him he wouldn't have got close enough to the line, if we had carried on with the in your face defence in the 2nd half instead of letting Wire run at us for 20 minutes it could have been different.
Think the problem is when a bad decision goes against you, as fans you tend to see that only and not the performance.

| It`s a big if, but if we get to the Grand Final. You can bet your bottom dollar Bentham will be the ref.
These are the type of wind-ups the RFL do.
Just a point if anyone remembers 3 or 4 years ago St.Helens had a run in with a referee, and they said they didn`t want that ref officiating at any of their games for the rest of the season. AND THEY GOT THEIR WAY.

| We could still end up 2nd
Three more goals kicked this season and we are in 3 points better off
To say we haven't played 80 minutes back to back yet its not bloomin bad
And as we learned last season, and as Leeds have shown - all that matters is being close when the playoff start and winning 3 games in a row
