| With us going from 13 home games to 14 or 15 it's very likely there will be a significant rise.
Of course there is also no guarantee that that those extra three or four will be in the top 8 league.
I would expect to wait another couple of weeks as it will be announced at a game. Hull being the most likely to allow them to re-affirm it at the Saints game.

| Maybe with the just recent change of date for the Sky game against Saints.. He'd be wanting to dish out the exact figure for the fans discount.

| I wonder if it's linked to the decision to retain Sunday's as our preferred home game day. They were possible thinking Friday's would be this years 'selling point' for the tickets and typically didn't have a Plan B which they are desperately working on now.
I imagine the season ticket news will be announced at the Hull game.

| Still no details of next years tickets at the hull game. Just a statement that Renewal packs going in the post. So they will announce them at the match where we may have to hand the LLS to another team. Great thinking Huddersfield

Wish they'd released season ticket details today - sure others with families would have liked info today too.

from 13 home games to 16 or 17.
23%-30% increase in games, 27% increase in ticket price.

Yes and a high probability of those extra games being played on Thursday or Friday to suit TV. Also the top 8 series will I assume begin just about the same time the schools are on holiday, the fixtures though will not be known scheduled until just before - seems impossible to plan around that.
Hopefully there is a decent early bird discount otherwise it does not look value (due to missed games).

| does not look value? you need to compare the prices to what others are paying!
leeds:- silver membership (lowest) £216 standing £252-336 seated dependant on where in the stand
saints:-renewal prices £245-£295, early bird £294-£354, general sale £319-£384
wire:- early bird standing £206, seated £241 or £296 dependant on stand
cas:- early bird standing £225, seated "257, general standing £247, seated £296
wakey:- early bird standing 220 seated "250 for wings £285 for centre, December £250 standing "280 or £299 seated
Hull:- renewal prices £230-£250 dependant on stand

| Looks good value to me. Assume 16 games, and you could miss 6 games and still be better off than paying on the gate - and that's assuming they don't increase the gate price from £24.

Based on the quoted £ 235 and comparing to the above only Saints have a higher "lowest admission price", so the figures do not agree.
All slightly irrelevant as people renewing/buying a Giants season ticket will not be comparing to Leeds, Saints etc. I have no interest in buying a season ticket for anywhere else. They will though compare to what was paid this season if questioning value. That shows an increase of £ 51 (based on £ 184) for one possibly two more games. This season is 26 games plus magic, or 13 home games. Next season is 22 games plus magic plus 7 in either top eight or relegation eight that is 11 plus 3 or 4 ie 14 guaranteed home games with a possible extra, ie maximum of 15% more games.
Now I fully understand that we all need to do more to support the efforts of Ken Davy. I am not saying I won't renew, but there is a risk in the price hike, I can see a few giving it some thought if the quoted figures are correct. It is the context of significant price hike against not knowing what you are getting that doesn't appear good value and in my view presents a risk to sales, hopefully a GF win will offset all that
Wire/Leeds lowest admission figures look about right to me.

The figures do agree. those lowest figures you refer to are for standing areas /areas behind the sticks. For a seat side on our tickets are the best value- (I only looked at those clubs and we are better than them all).
If you want lowest price you can sit behind the sticks. I imagine our price will be cheaper than the wire/Leeds ones and be a similar if not better view and with a seat thrown in! And don't forget we don't know what that £235 quoted includes! Or if it's early bird.
If you don't want to get a ticket don't get one- but please don't make out they aren't value!

Jools, imagine for one second that the Giants had a ground like the Haliwell Jones. I am certain that the majority of our season ticket sales would be for the standing terrace down the side. At away matches, when there is a choice most of our fans choose to stand, probably because it is cheaper. If you do not believe it is reasonable to compare the cheapest admission price on offer you must be a politician!!!!!
Again to clarify there are not 3-4 more home fixtures next season, there is a guarantee of one more with a second if we finish top 4 (or 9th/10th but do not think I see that as value).
I repeat it may well be reality that we all have to dig a bit deeper to help Ken fund the club, but I still believe there is a risk the price hike reduces sales.
