Ill discipline - exactly the same reason Catalans are 1st. To me the key question is what is behind the ill discipline - and I for one have no idea but I'd like it to stop!

sometimes catalans are penalised over in the UK alot more often with the home crowds getting on the refs back and catalans having zero away fans (we dont have many away fans sometimes too..is there a link!)

but yes they play it tough, we dont play it tough yet still give too many pens away, always on the wrong end of the count in games!

anderson will talk about it but nothing will improve, just like the majority of this season has gone, we know the problems but they dont fix them

If Anderson talks about it but nothing changes then surely it's the players at fault not doing as instructed.

And if he can't get the players to respond and they're not doing as instructed?

It is concerning.

ATM I think our lads are guilty of not having total trust in our defence! We are getting pinged a load for slowing down with laying on, to ensure our d line is set and ready! We need to find the sweet spot just before it becomes a pen! Hit them out them down and shift to marker the boys behind so be ready and set for the next set!

if we win more collisions then we won't concede so many penalties as the defence has the upper hand and can control the attacking player, we are losing too many collisions therefore giving away penalties to compensate.

if the players are not responding to the coach then we are in serious trouble... coaches need to get reactions and the best from their players.

Ill discipline definitely, and that's not becuase we are playing dirty it's , in my opinion, because our players are lazy and aren't putting enough effort in and therefore are having to give silly penalties away to compensate for this.
Makes me laugh how some of our fans are berating the Ref after every penalty concede, but 9 times out of 10 you can predict exactly what is going to happen - holding down and the PTB is usually cos we have 3 or 4 men around the ruck and because we aren't strong enough by the time the Ref shouts held we haven't got enough men in the defensive line/ onside so try slowing it down to let the others have more time - it's obvious in the stands so why isn't it to the players ? this is also why we get pinged for offside.

Solution ....put more effort into hitting the attackers and making the tackle then you wont need to 'make time' to get back etc.

Another one that we must be penalised more than any other team is tackling the man in the air, week after week we see this and it is a stupid and needless penalty to give away, especially as it usually takes the opposition away from their own line, how hard is it to wait another second then tackle the man ?, again it's clearly obvious what we're doing from the stands so why not the players?

I understand fans get frustrated at their team being penalised but more often than not we only have ourselves to blame for giving the Ref's absolutely no choice !!!

Not too far off the mark there, laziness, apparent lack of effort and stupidity just about sums our defence up, think you should have a word in the coaches ear

Bang on, we aren't controlling tackles and we are getting situations with broken lines/unset markers/tacklers still on the floor/penalties. Dominate the tackle, cut down the penalties!
