| will be a big test for us after that shambles on saturday.
possibly without brough, grix, lunt and murphy...wonder if SKY will mention if we have any players out?
can't see many of our hoardes willing to travel 30 minutes to castleford, especially after we lost the last game, but im sure the usual 200 will get behind the boys.
cas had a good win last week on the back of a couple of poor results, could go either way

| we have had some strange games down at wheldon road in the past, a few hammerings when cas weren't at their best and a couple of big wins for us, think it was last year when we gave up after being 30 points up?

| No that was at your place, where you were 34-4 up, we got it back to 34-28 think it finished 46-28. The last game at Wheldon road between the 2 sides ended 42-24 and was Basil Faultys last game and we have been on a bit of role from that moment on!

| not the best place for us to be going after saturdays shambles, we have a mixed bag of results at castleford recently
no news on the injury to Brough or Grix yet. Connor to come in if no grix, prob wood and robinson to partner if no brough.
might see a return for kaufusi or mullally?

| Must admit I wasn't looking forward to this game even before Saturdays debacle. I've been really impressed with Cas this season and hope they can (obviously hopefully not at our expense) keep going until the end of the season. It's great to see a new team threatening to break into the Top 4 and I've enjoyed some of the rugby they play. I know they announced a new signing today but with so many of their key players seemingly moving on next season may be tough for them.
I can't see anything other than a comfortable Cas win.

| Cas is always a difficult place to go but with them flying high their fans will be back to being noisy and supporting which hasn't always been the case in the last couple of years.
We need to improve massively, Castleford are a very, very good side this year and we're not so if we do manage to turn up and win it will definitely be one against the odds in my eyes.
If Brough and Grix are missing then i fear for us ...it could be embarrassing, we will see.

| if the OP is correct and those four players are missing, I can't see Cas being massively threatened the way our boys have defended this year... Lunt Grix and Brough are your main threats, there's no secret about that.
That being said, I don't really want them all to be missing just for the constant drivel the general public will have to hear from the SKY team, who week on week want to talk about the players who aren't playing more than the game itself.
It's got all the makings of a cracker - similar to the game we had in May. Again, to beat Hudds with three play-makers missing would be a little anti-climactic considering we owe you a big performance from then
Hopefully we will see you out in numbers rather than deciding to watch it in the pub - we've all been there after a bad loss.
We aren't playing quite as well as we were in May and I still reckon we've half an eye on the CC.
With 2 fully fit squads I'd go 22-30
If the OP is correct I'd go 28-16
Fine margins..... Enjoy your trip darn't lane

still no word on brough, grix or lunt but murphy could come back, we also have jake connor available after injury who could fill in at full back.
as for SKY, they only seem to mention players missing but you're right it get tedious, every team has a squad for that reason, i think they just use it as a ready made excuse should one of the favourites lose.
as for seeing us out in numbers, forget it, our fans rarely travel well when a game is on sky, and with it being a friday night too and coming off the back of a poor showing then that's 3 reasons why our fans won't travel, we are a fickle bunch, a bit like yourselves, but not on the same scale, if we had won easily on saturday i reckon a couple hundred more would have come, however the usual 200 will still be there down the side, but we will probably be judged on the handful of fans on the railway terrace.
i'm looking forward to seeing how we react to saturday, usually a good game at cas.

| Surely got to be a reaction from the Giants, Anderson made it very clear how he felt about being too soft. If Broughy out in a strange way it may bring a bit more flow to our game - we haven't got the star man to go to so more reliant on an all round team effort, and Bailey looks more than capable.
Start is important -if Cas get a couple of tries early it could be a long night!

| I think I would play connor, Miller and leeming - we have nothing to lose and atleast if we get beaten the sky team will be able to wax lyrical about how many youngsters we have had to play and how we werent expected to win.

| The one i find strange is Lunt. It says he has a calf strain so surely he should be back by now. Makes me wonder of there is more to his abscence than the club are letting on.

| Lunt was with his youngster at the game last Saturday. If he'd fallen out then would he have been present?
I'd do a 'Wigan/St Helens' & play all 3 youngsters. After all, no-one expects us to win [apart from me!!, so we've nothing to lose.

| regarding lunt everytime they think they have got to the bottom of the injury it flares up again so they dont know where they are with him at the moment.
so for this match our main pivot players are all out! Brough , Grix , Lunt ...throw in Faiumu and Murphy and its not looking goo at all !
team could go with...
Connor
Mcgillvary
Cudjoe
Wardle
Broughton
Robinson
Wood
Kopczak
Leeming
Johnson
Ferres
Lawrence
Taai
bench -
Bailey
Crabtree
Patrick
Chan
wood and robbo at half back with bailey to come in for wood who will switch to hooker to give leeming a rest
still a good bench!
id like to see kaufusi return or even mullally... maybe infront of johnson as a starting prop
