Sorry but I know he can win games but at the moment he is not at his best. 2 games coming up that we should be winning so drop him and give him a break to get over the grudge against the refs. Y

even on a bad day hes still our best player i wouldnt drop him atall the whole team look lost at the min we just dont look dangerous with the ball. am gutted at the min after all the hipe of wer guna do this wer guna win that its a real shame to be prforming like this and unless we do something soon we will get 2 far behind. a nice 10 game winning streek would do nicely

We have lost focus and lost our composure. Dropping Brough won't get it back.

This may seem a bit outlandish but I'd give the captaincy to someone else to stop Brough's interaction with referees. He is an emotional bloke and it's getting the better of him ATM. When Bailey is on the park let him be captain and interact with the refs.

As an aside, I don't think I've ever seen a side gift points and momentum to another side like I saw tonight.

And if Radford truly thinks the Grix and Brough incidents are unprovoked, well, he's as daft as he looks!

No leave him in his kicking game seems to be coming back compared to early games and sure the rest will follow.Agree about giving captaincy someone else but not that many options. I would play Bailey at loose forward and give it him but seems to be in and out of team.Assuming we should win next 2 games is a bit arrogant and both will be tricky especially the way we are playing.Why aren't't other senior players having words with Brough during games and getting him to focus on game not ref.

Brough incident maybe, but I would be fuming with Grix for the first one, you had the ball, Ellis did nothing wrong and Grix lost the plot. He should be one who is dropped. Without Brough top day you would have lost by more, kept you in with his kicking game and still looked your most dangerous player.

Grix could maybe feel a bit aggrieved but his reaction was ridiculous. Ellis' actions were related to his desire rather than malice or deliberate foul play. Grix was foolish to respond in that way but it's a symptom of feeling hard done to by our lack of form, luck and copping some poor calls in the last couple of games. If we had a proper leader to galvanise them and overcome these issues then he wouldn't have done it. But we don't, and he did. And here we are.

I think this topic should be removed, singling out Brough to be dropped is wrong he isn't the one missing tackles and looking uninterested he's the one kicking us out of our own half because our forwards are going anywhere I don't know whether that's because our fitness is low or were just lacking creativity. I would of liked to sign Sammut and put Robbo into the hooking role with lunty Sammut always finds a way to get through the line and him and Brough in the halves would be lethal. I really don't know how we can go from dominating last season to struggling like mad this season, lose to Salford next Friday and its time to panic

Brough is the captain every time he kicks off with the ref the team goes to peaces
Grix should cop a ban the last thing we needed being 8 nil down was for him to lose the plot .we need to get back to basics work hard as a team or forget about top 8 and a night out in Manchester we will be in the scrap to stay up. we need a big Easter

Chin up Danny mate, i can see where your frustration is coming from and it must seem as if the whole of rugby league is against you at present. I'll never forget what you did for us in your time at Cas. Dig in mate cos a lot of these criticising you aren't fit to lace your boots.

Drop DB and we are stuffed. He needs more support from Luke who at the moment can only give telegraphed / hospital / drop off passes and has trouble catching the ball. The main problem at the moment is COMPOSURE. We are getting into some good positions and then just chucking it away. Teams are upping their game and putting us under pressure from the off and we can't handle it at the moment. Hopefully a good rest before the Easter period will perk us up.

Don't think dropping Brough is a good idea. He's a confidence player, dropping him or even relieving him of his captaincy could destroy him mentally! The same attitude that makes him think he can make a try out of nothing and take on a whole defense on his own does sometimes boil over into lashing out at officials with his tongue, you either accept that aspect of him or leave him out. I'd certainly rather have him in our team

Brough played out of his skin last year and hardly missed a game, then add in the world cup to that he has hardly had a break. We will be the only club with 2 short turn arounds in april, we need to rest our key players. Especially with what we should be saying are games we should be winning against Salford, Wakefield, Tigers, London & Bradford before we have the run of Saints, Wigan, Leeds.

This is NO dig at Danny, he and Lunt for me are our best players. However, a week in the sun with the family might do him some good (other sports do it). Lunty was right on twitter nothing is won in April but keeping our players fit and getting their heads right for the second half of the season is key.
As for “Assuming we should win next 2 games is a bit arrogant” not sure that is arrogant but the team who finished top of the league in 2013 should be expected to beat the teams who finished 14,11,12,13 and 9th?

When we talk of confidence I hope that people aren’t going to jump on the Grix bandwagon again, thought he has had a solid start to the season. Apart from mistakes last night and probably letting everything over the last few weeks boiler over and he let his frustrations out.

I have never noticed Brough before with the blatant show and go where he openly displays the ball in the palm of his hand.Is this a new tactic?Who is it supposed to fool.Is it a lack of ideas from him or his team mates not giving him options?Not criticizing at all,Just wondering as a casual viewer.

Brough has always been like that, but as a captain he's going to have to get that chip off his shoulder and learn to channel his aggression better, but at least it shows he cares I suppose.

The one man who stood out as been particularly poor for you was Grix. Through petulance he gave away a penalty when you had the ball which led to a try (could have easily got himself a card too). Then he took a big shot from Ellis and Westerman and wasn't interested after that. Hardly ran with the ball, just shovelled it on to a winger regardless of what position they were in. Then to cap it off he costs another try by being out enthused when Yeaman kicked through.

Brough played ok lastnight, much better kicking from him.

Intetsted in the comments regarding bad language on the terrace and DB swearing at the ref. Difference between the 2 is DB is bound by the laws of the game that he is being paid to play, foul and abusive language is not permitted. Fair enough frustration enthusiasm gets the better of people, but as captain he needs to be able to show some level of control or he will be forced to sit at the side by the ref.

Danny's not playing well at the moment and he's currently channelling that disappointment and anger at his own game in the wrong way. I'm sure he'd be the first to admit it. As Captain he does need to look at this as he sets the example.
However, I think talk of dropping him is ridiculous - he's still one of our better performers each week even when far below his own standards - and talk of stripping him of the Captaincy far too little early. This is the same guy who led us to Top of the Table, won Man of Steel and performed brilliantly in the World Cup and then 7 or 8 games later he's suddenly not good enough to even get in the team. Absolutely ridiculous.
