reading the topic on the VT seems they had rugby league on the morning, around 7.30am

Seems from twitter BBC Wales and S4C gave the world cup great coverage tonight but as we were at a Goldie Lookin Chain concert we did not watch it ourselves.

9.00 am BBC news , live on the pitch interview with Robbie H-Paul , bags of radio time this week on both 5-Live and Talksport . Much better than I expected .

plenty about the world cup on radio 2 drivetime last night, people phone in and request songs and simon mayo usually chats to them about their weekend plans, there were a few people who were on their way to Cardiff for the world cup, mayo sounded surprised and said it sounds pretty popular, we got some decent coverage on the biggest national radio station and well done to the woman who said everyone should watch it

I know for a fact [due to playing a very small part myself that a very small marketing team for RLWC2013 [nothing to do with the RFL have worked their socks of with an extremely limited budget trying to get national coverage.

They been badgering the BBC almost daily for over a year now to try and get coverage. Their HQ was strategically set up in Salford's Media City so they could be next door to the BBC.

It's not the organisers' fault that the World Cup has had limited media space.

The 'media' is already talking about the 'Rugby World Cup' meaning the ru's effort in 2015.

We need a good turnout for RLWC2013 and continued growth throughout the country in order to approach competing with ru's control of the media.

I missed the first 20 minutes whilst driving home in the car.... commentary of the game was not on normal radio....thats just a a shocker .... not 5 live not, talk sport, not the local BBC radio stations nothing....that is a disgrace.....

May I respectfully suggest that complaints about lack of coverage be made to the BBC and the papers.

The main disappointment for me is not the lack of coverage here in England, but across the globe! Guys in Serbia do not have access to Premier sports to watch the games, also they do not have access to BBC... There definitely should have been a bigger effort to let people across the world see the 'WORLD' cup.
