Featherstone Rovers host Scotland vs Papua New Guinea on Saturday 19th October at the Big Fellas Stadium with a 2pm kick off. The World Cup Warm up game promises to be a competitive affair with a host of stars featuring including 2013 Man of Steel Danny Brough and Dale Ferguson from the Giants. You can pre-purchase tickets from the main club office at the ground or via our website and you can also pay on the gate. Adults £10, Concessions £5 and Under 16's FREE.
There is hospitality available for this fixture. At 1pm we will be serving hot beef baguettes and chips in the 1921 Suite for £10 per person. Guests will also have the option of watching the game from 1921 Suite and post-match interviews. | Difficult to say how good PNG were, when Scotland had their best players on the sides were pretty even, Scotland had good structure with Addy moving them about the park and Broughy adding class at second receiver, but with seven on interchange it was clear PNG have much more depth.
Scotlands first choice pack and halves can put on a good show, not much in the outside backs though other than honest endeavour. Brough & Addy look the key players for them. PNG I think will compete well with the bigger nations but struggle to score, lots of good quality team players, enough to break down Scotland, but only the full back looked genuinely exciting to me, but then again they wouldn't be showing too much.
