Thought id start a topic as it was the best its been in a very long time at the Giants..

even a few supporters were saying what a good atmosphere it was walking back to the car.

never known all the brittania rescue stand get involved like they did lastnight, shows that they can be encouraged to join in!! quite a few were looking back at the chanting fans at the top smiling then joining in.

lets keep it up, next home game is v leeds too!!

the barmy army chant went on for ages

The claret and gold army chant was very impressive, it was dying down a couple of times but myself and a few others kept it going each time - My hand was red raw from banging the seat

- and it just grew eventually. Was great to look down the stand and see people stood up clapping along. in the past no one usually joins in so it just dies but last night it took off so well done to everyone who joined in.

A few people who know me commented how us at the back did a great job last night and it really got the crowd going too.....more of the same in the following weeks please !!

The c&g army chant was getting bloody annoying IMO

Other than that, top effort from the whole crowd, ably led from the back of the stand

That was the whole idea - to keep it going as long as possible and get others joining in - which they did.

Not as much as they did when you changed tune

I was busy trying to work out why Twitter wouldnt send any of my tweets. Then I sussed it was down.

Was good, I had to stop now and again as my hands were hurting, but gave it 30 secs rest then joined in again, yes was very good and it felt like the support was as one.

I sincerely hope there there is no repetition of that chanting at the next game. Not only are my hands raw but I had no voice this morning. I'm getting too old for stuff like that, I was struggling to keep going after what felt like 20 mins.


What impressed me was how many fans lower down the stand joined in on more than one occasion. Awesome! We've had worse atmospheres with far bigger crowds. And the fans carried on even though Saints scored.

It was great fun. Acts like the long chants do more for atmosphere and supporter enjoyment than any silly music gimmick. It's been along time since I saw so many around me join in with you lads at the back. Keep it up, you're like an extra man when on that musical form.

I think it's the repetition they were unhappy with not the atmosphere.

Priceless someone complains about a cracking atmosphere, I was ho down at the front and everyone was clapping along was superb keep it up and balls to the moaners!!!!

Next up at home.....Leeds Rhinos. Should be a cracking atmosphere.

Yup said on another post that one of the best we had was against cas in the cc a few years back with 4500.
Monday was as good. We may not have the numbers some of the other clubs but giving the boys the support like that will certainly raise thier spirits!
Good effort from our fans and really enjoyed watching both sides chanting in unison at times!

was pretty good considering the poor home turnout.

the claret and gold army chant is one we used to sing 20 years ago at away matches, it was good to bring it back and great to see so many young and new fans joining in, also I noticed a few people came up from the bottom to join in.
if we could get a few more doing this for the leeds game it will be just as good, providing the team are doing well.

we proved on Monday we can make some noise when we want to lets do it every game and drowned out the away fans, who I thought were excellent too, 700 came over which for a Monday night is pretty good, good noise from both sets of fans.

if anyone bothered to read my posts they'd have seen I said the atmosphere was superb on Monday night, and the guys at the back did a brilliant job

the C&G Army chant was great, it just went on too long I think - as was shown by the fact that most people stopped joining in after a while, only to jump back in with gusto when the tune changed briefly, and then stop again when you went back to the chant again.

Thats it, tiny bit of constructive feedback on what was a brilliant effort.

Hopefully this is the start of something special...
