yet again on the wrong end of the penalty count 9-2 in favour of salford yesterday

so its something we need to work on...or is it the refs have it in for us?

Bad discipline, when the ref is telling our guys they're offside and we still concede a penalty for it there is no one else to blame.
We get frustrated at times, especially when we try and score off every set and lose the ball, we tend to give one away in the following set due to frustrations.

penalty count was 4-8 on friday at salford

in salfords favour.

it was 6-4 in our favour yesterday and look at the result!!! alibert is my new fave ref

It probably helped our cause that widnes missed over 40 tackles.

they were very poor defence

He should have, but how embarrassing for the backs that the only player able to keep up with a prop was another prop.

I've tried to watch our last few games with a dispassionate eye and I'm still thinking we are being harshly penalised by refs in comparison

And I think (naturally perhaps) that he is right to suggest other teams are allowed to spoil in the ruck but the moment we try we get penalised

Cant remember which game it was but we were complaining about this weeks ago, so we timed the opposition from moment the contact was made till we played the ball and it was something like 11 seconds but yet when it was our turn we had a penalty given against us after only 7 seconds so going on that alone the opposition get to hold us donw for an extra 4 seconds and still dont get penalised.
I know thats only a general point based on one game but if that is what Baloo is referring to he probably does have a point.

PA is right about the Luke Robinson sending off, it was clearly a refereeing error, which i find astonishing that they have said SOS!

Having said that the real positive move by PA and he should be commended about it, is he's taken the time and trouble to speak to the officials via the right route and as invited them to come down to the training sessions so he can proactively do something about it.

He has gone down the right route but it still doesn't hide the fact that he was very angry about it and the authorities will know this, but like he said he likes his money so has been sensible about it rather than shouting his mouth off like others.

lets hope we see a change from the refs towards us in the second half of the season

I admire Baloo for speaking out, but nothing will ever come of it.
Red Hall have never sided with the clubs against the Refs, with the exception of uncle Albert and the seven tackles, but only then because it was so obvious and they could never come up with a justifiable defense that would hold water.
But I am glad he voiced his concerns.
