What or who annoys you or winds you up in everyday life
lets find out if you're not the only person who thought X,Y or Z annoyed them....like i said just a bit of light hearted fun not to be taken seriously or turned into a slanging match if people dont agree !!

I'll start with some of mine :

Televison and the so called talent shows with whooping and hollering audiences
ITV - especially its football coverage
People who slow down when they are aware you're walking behind them and really want to get past them
Americanisms in UK life
The modern day celebrity culture
Real Radio
Modern pop music
Lads who walk round with their hands down the front of their jogging pants - do that in your own bedroom please !
Comedians who think shouting very loudly is funny

Castle Hill and the continuing saga with the Thandi brothers
Adverts for indigestion,ear wax etc. during meal times

People that start silly topics like this,but i think Brearly will love it.

Not sure about this as I may be about to demonstrate how intolerant I am:

M62
Unco-ordinated (useless) public transport systems, especially rail
BBC, particularly the constant plugging of rubbish television such as "strictly" on all other output.
Alan Hansen (the guy is a dreadful analyst yet reputidely gets paid £ 40k per MOTD show by the BBC - that is taxpayers money!)
Constant gambling advertising on such as Sky sports and Talk sport (that one really gets me as imo should be subject to similar controls to alcohol and smoking marketing - it can be adictive and can ruin lives, not in favour of banning but adverts should not be allowed to imply such as in-play betting is the best way to enjoy the match)
And of course on an RL forum - Thiery Alibert



Anyway, enough of my intolerance and Thiery ain't nearly as bad as the other issues above.

I did state it was a bit of fun !!

Great "bah humbug" topic this - so as I am already often reminded of being a grumpy old man by the missus - here goes:

1. Shopping of any kind but especially despise Ikea - absolute torture!!!
2. Lack of politeness - a thank you costs nothing.
3. Political correctness, and
4. Generally any of the daft "isms" that stop anyone stating what they really think in fear of being branded for life as something despicable - debate is healthy and opinions are what make life interesting.
5. Anyone who gets in my way - but mostly people who dawdle around. If you are queuing for something then no excuse for not having decided what you want by the time you get served, and having your money ready for goodness sake!!!
6. Waiting to be served at the bar - this is a truly british disease and we should not tolerate it. No one queues like this abroad - do they?
7. Umbrellas - the weapon of choice for mostly women who seem to think it is your job to avoid them and fatal eye injury as they scuttle past. Men with umbrellas - need I say more - no excuse guys - get a hat!!!
8. Overtly gay men - no problem with anyones sexuality - just don't want my face rubbed in it - so to speak!!!


9. Celebrity endorsement - why do people fall for it??? Wearing David Beckham after shave dont make you any more like him you know!!!

Better stop now - but bet I am not alone with most of the above if we are all honest.

Yes, Umbrellas ...gotta have that - who decided that these things were a good invention ?? if you're walking down a quiet country lane by yourself then fine but the people who put them up in busy streets without a care for anyone who walks past them and gets gouged by it i have nothing but scorn for those.

Christmas - its a crap, overated, expensive, stressful day that is shoved down our throats from the middle of october onwards. It lost its joy and fun when it became a retail festival.

Shopping centres - horrid places full of people walking 2 abreast in the slowest possible way when you only want 1 thing from 1 shop, and then they stop dead in front of you!!.

Onesie's - i mean come on .....a suit with a hood in the design of some form of animal to wear in bed ??

Coat hangers and wires/leads that tie themselves together when you're not looking
Old people in town between 12-2pm when they have all day to shop but choose workers lunchtime
Rude shop assistants that carry on talking to their colleagues and you have to repeat your order
People that don't say please or thank you
People that go through a door and don't check if anyone is behind them and just let it go
How the crap weather always knows when it's a weekend or a special occasion
People that cannot hold a conversation without 'effing every other word
The M62 car park
Getting an itchy nose/eye when your arms are full

almost everything in modern life annoys me.
most of the things that have been mentioned already annoy me
but the thing thats annoyed me the most lately? shoppers!!! as i work opposite a retail/shopping park and we only close down for xmas and boxing day,the scramble for the car park every day from 9am is ridiculous! stay at home.... in bed.... unlike us who have to work throughout the "christmas holidays" you dont have to get up, so stay at home!!!

"Reality" tv of any kind. It's not reality it's someone playing up to a camera!
The dog owner who walks their dog early EVERY DAY outside my kids school and allows it to poo all over the pavement. -Wishy will testify to this being true! If I wanted to play dodge the poo I'd get rid of my toilets. If that person is you- if I see your dog I WILL kill it.

yeah what is it around schools that allow dog owners to think this a decent toilet for their dogs???? Though I walk a fair diastance to my lads school and it's like dodge city avoiding crap!!!

I was almost feeling guilty about allowing my dog to cr@p outside your kids' school - until I read this

1. People that dont pronounce thier Th everyfing is fick and fin i fink
2. youths that wear thier trousers hanging off thier , am sure in my youth older people thought our fashion looked a mess but for god sake they look stupid.
3. people that dont listen eg when at the bar "just a pint of Lager please" bar staff when serving said pint "anything else"

Those student and yuppie types going to the bar or shop counter and saying " Can I get a pint of lager/Mars bar ". The simple answer is if you're in a pub I'm sure you can "get" a pint of lager, if you're in a newsagents I'm sure you can "get" a Mars bar. The big question is do you WANT one you slack,Americanised, trying too hard to be trendy doylums.

oh yes! im with you on this one.
we have a guy at work who is like this,he comes out of the office and asks if he can "get" certain bits of equipment,rather than can i "have", we have started telling him yes he can get it,its on aisle D shelve 4, the look on his face is priceless and he still doen't get it, the joke that is not the equipment

another thing that annoys me is the obsession with abbreviating/shorterning of words,especially names!
do raymond van barneveld,robin van persie,andre villas boas really want or like being referred to as RVB,RVP or AVB?
accronyms? why? for years we have got by with question of sport,match of the day etc so why now do we have AQOS and MOTD?
