Wow. This smacks of a last throw of the dice to get the people of Huddersfield behind the Giants. I fear he may be preaching to the choir with this though.

Well there you have it right from the very top,just how important ST sales are to assist the club in it's challenge for trophies.

Will even this impassioned plea make the difference or will it still yet fall on deaf ears.

The problem is most of the views will be from people who have already purchased or are going to buy anyway.

Well I don't do the social networking lark myself,but would have thought it would have been advertised on there and so reached a wider audience.

Maybe the Examiner could make it back page news plus big headline,along with major headline on their website.

The examiner daily headline billboard that you see outside newsagents would prob be best of all.

'Ken Davy plea buy your season ticket' would be my choice of words.

Even those who don't buy the paper would notice that just walking around.

I think this is a concern there is no way the chairman would do this if sales were good, I suspect we are on half of last year ie 3 k. As I said last year it is a huge gamble in any business to give your product away. ALot bought last year on back of a cheap deal if we had backed up all the promise with success we would have had something to build on. As it is all our loyal fans will renew but many floaters no.Add to that constant moving of ko by sky and now towns success it makes giants a hard sell.People I know are sort of interested but town will always come first and that means we just cannot get what ken needs so he isn't having to keep throwing in. It makes you wonder how many more seasons he will there is a lot riding on this season.

Town`s success does not make much difference in Huddersfield as more supporters come from out of the town area.
I live in Dewsbury and there are a lot more town supporters here than Giants fans, and I know quite a lot come from the Wakefield area.
Also is it success when they are lying 9th in the league. The Giants would not be happy with 9th position.

Actually it is 29th in the league system, but looking at it another way 29th out of 92 full time professional clubs rather than 7th out of 14, we need to be top 4 to match Town's current relative performance.

I think its just the way the club are starting to do things, Eorl did a similar message a month or so ago and probably no point reading too much into it.

I think we need to embrace anything that might sell the extra season ticket or two as we are never going to be a club who put season tickets (or even big match tickets) on sale and thousands get snapped up in the first few days but if we slowly build to a workable figure then that is as good as we are probably going to get.

Some obviously see it as reeking of desperation (and perhaps it is) but the club have been getting the discount and deadline out there by a variety of different medias and hopefully come Friday night their efforts will have been rewarded....time will tell.

well Ken will be pleased to know i've managed to scrimp and save enough to renew mine and my lads this week ......alas, Catalan flight money had to take a hit though

Thank Christ the percentage of giants fans that lurk here and elsewhere is pitifully small in comparison to our attendences

Maybe ticket sales are down, we don't know - maybe they are on target, again we don't know...but if folk on here keep shouting we are in the mire to all and sundry then it starts to turn into the truth.

Reading the words coming from the club is all positive, were gonna have a massive pack, we've got some truly outstanding backs and the best halfback in the country. It's a squad that desperately knows it under performed last season and almost certainly knows why - that says to me they are hungry to prove themselves
