| Yes, biggest cheer of the afternoon was when they scored, the whole crowd gave them a standing ovation.
To be honest it wasn't an exciting game cos i think we scored 26 tries and at least 5 or 6 of them were literally walk-thru's from the kick-off. and at least another 10 were more or less a break followed by 2 or 3 passes.
But those who were there were part of history being made, remember when we got past the previous record of 119 was quite exciting knowing what we were watching being achieved.
Also remember Greg Austin, who already had 9 tries having a walk in for his 10th, walked over the line but waited for Dean Hangar and passed for him to touchdown so as not to break Lionel Cooper's tries in a match record, for him to do that and lose having the record was a massive sporting thing to do and i guess showed the respect the players had for the past greats !!

| Yep. One of the more bizarre spectacles I've witnessed on a rugby field which included a couple of score-restart-catch-run-score tries

| I was 4 at the time.... i think i was there. Is there anywhere we can get a copy from? Would love to see a DVD of this. This would be a nice stocking filler for a fiver RHP it would be nice to see some old classics. I would love to see some old footage from previous challenge cup successes / important games in our history / team of all talents, although i dont know if such footage will exist.

There will be some limited footage coming soon to the Heritage project. It's phenominally expensive to buy.

| it was quite a novelty racking up try after try at first then got a bit boring after about 30-0,as daz says the biggest cheer was when blackpool scored.
it was nic to see us rack up a world record score and margin, which amazingly was equalled the next day when barrow beat nottingham 138-0!

| regal trophy was the equivalent to footballs carling/capital one/league cup, it was played early season with the final around feb/march if i remember, it was the 3rd major trophy in those days.
i have the tries on a video that dave king did for me back in the day, its shocking how many of our tries were just walk ins from the halfway line.

| I'm sure they had a player with one leg shorter than the other, who almost looked like he was running round in circles when trying to run straight

| luchesse was a very good prospect at full back , good hands , quick , decent tackler . unfortunately he had the very bad habit of dislocating his shoulder blades every time he played , thus ended his career. i think his father was high up in the french rl .

same as Terry Holmes i think. Played about 3 games from Bradford after moving from RU and ended up with a dislocated shoulder every game before retiring.
