| are we the only club who are with kooga for next season?
seen on the virtual terrace that only us and maybe salford? are with kooga now
most of the other clubs (mainly the ones who sell the most shirts) are with ISC now, shame we cant go with them as i like what they produce
at least with kooga only having us to concentrate on now we might get our new shirt our early and of top quality !!!

| Doubt youll get top quality with Kooga, theyre garbage. I hated our shirts last season, but I do like the padded jacket from Kooga.

| Kooga have been disappointing from the start. Most designs have in my opinion been poor, the sometimes don't get released until after christmas, we've had shortages in certain sizes, but worst of all the material feels cheap and doesn't last very long before looking very worn.

Do not agree with that, the 2008 & 2009 shirts were very good quality and had gold hoops on claret. Kooga strips for others of that vintage were pretty good also iirc, however the quality did decline with iron on rather than stitched detail and the designs got a bit strange (not just ours) with the strip change every year.
Can't say I think ISC are that great from what I have seen. They look ok but the challenge for them will be the annual re-designs.
Frankly I see no reason for changing just because others have, what is the best deal for the club & the fans?

True, that was a good design and the quality was better than the more recent efforts, I wonder why things changed?

Probably because we do not sell enough shirts and they can not be d. The biggest UK club rugby contract is held by Kooga (The Ospreys) and they have given them good designs for years and their range of merchandise at The Liberty Stadium until recently put Swansea City's range to shame. Having also got the Gloucester contract it is fair to say only Leicester (and if we add in Ireland Munster) are missing off their roster interms of RU clubs who can sell the most jerseys.
I was told last season Kooga designed 2 away kits one for us one for Salford and the club which did not get the one got the other (they had the better deal with the green one than the awful grey kit we had). I think if true that sums up where we are with them in we get no real say on what they give us whilst they concentrate on RU and clubs that give them a decent profit.
In truth I do not think ISC would be much more interested than Kooga in giving us the best service and it may be better going with someone like Macron who seem to do a good job with Wakefield and have experience of doing alot of soccer clubs with similar or smaller support than we get or even Puma who have seemed to do a decent range for Castleford for years despite them being likely to be very down the peking order on the company's roster.

The problem being we are not buying just a set of kit off the shelf as an amateur or student side does, choice is not the real issue but how many kits we would be obliged to buy and by implication be able to sell, the amount of tops we seem to be lumbered with at the end of each season suggests we take in a big amount from Kooga and I'd guess ISC would not work on much different figures.
Have the feeling if we are to move on it will be with a smaller supplier who can accept smaller inital orders and produce more if required at short notice, the real problem with that being the likelihood of a small merchandise range but as I have said before Kooga's range for Ospreys is tremendous for us poor so its not the supplier per se that is the issue but our relationship with them and the amount of potential profit they see in the deal.

As the rumour came out of Salford it is entirely possible that the club did not know and Salford got offered two away kit options then we got offered the rejected one.

| Fair enough guess that puts that one to bed but opens up another can of worms, lets hope he put his crayons away and let someone else design next season's effort.

As it seems the club has more imput than most on here thought into kit design you would think views would be canvased or some sort of online poll or such like could be set up to see what people want and you would guess if their views were listened to it would see an increase in sales.
Fans have certainly got out of buying the shirt in great numbers due to lackluster efforts in recent years and hopefully it is something the club will try to turn round this time.

I think the away shirt was much popular than the majority on here hope.
The majority of people I know who have seen the shirt (supporters and non-supporters) like the away shirt and its use of modern colours and patterns.
I agree that the home one should be in traditional colours and designs, but the alternate should be something very different and provides an opportunity to be experimental.
For the record I always buy a new shirt each season and last year I went for the alternate one.
