After the rot set in after the salford game i posted on here that once a coach and Captain give their notice they are dead in the water i was derided by many on here but i stand by my opinion. I am now going to give another we needed a complete clear out from Top to bottom Anderson was half of the previous regime that has presided over a total shambles this Season at a Time we should at the very least have been challenging for the Big Prizes. God Knows Where we go from here but im afraid Anderson and thewlis are Not the People to do it and a mediocre future awaits.It is even worse when you watch wakefield with half of our released players pull over 8000 on Sky we wont even manage that for Leeds nxt week how will we sell Season Tickets for next Year over to you mr Chief Executive

We could also do with some players who actually wanted to get involved in games and put some effort in.....they are more important than any coach or CEO - unfortunately at the moment we seem to have 0 of these.

Richard Thewlis is the main man regarding employing coaches/staff and bringing in and getting rid of players.

He has made several mistakes starting with refusing Brett Hodgson a 2 year contract followed by letting NB take the p1ss regarding leaving for a 'better' job but then changing his mind when he wasnt offered one. He should have gone then. Is Baloo really the best coach we could have got in or is he just the cheapest?

Regarding players is Ferguson better than Kirmond? Is Gilmour a better prop than Raleigh?

Is giving 4 year contracts to massive earners wise?

At the end of the day somebody needs to be held accountable for our current situation and im afraid that has to be Mr Thewlis.

To think and state that RT is in charge of obtaining and getting rid of players without the consent of the coach is absolutely and totally ridiculous.

May I suggest that if people would like more information about what is happening at the club, then they should either ring up or pop in for a chat. Several posters on here do this. The management will always find time to talk to fans and people on here.

You have no idea how professional sport clubs operate. The idea that the MD tells the coach who to select or sign is laughable. Likewise the idea RT makes major decisions keeping KD in the dark and telling him afterwards is ludicrous. Get real.

If you want to say KD is dumb and kept in the dark why not say it?



As for things like Fergy vs kirmond...ask nathan brown. that is his shout.

As for retaining NB after his flip flopping ask KD and his board (not just RT).

I urge you to form a supporters trust with some of the people on this thread and take over the running of the club. The challenge may be that running a club involves dealing with actual resources and specifics. It will require forward thinking and dealing with real difficult situations. This is somewhat different from:

- pointing out what did not work with the benefit of hindsight
- offering vague, ill informed 'alternatives'
- expecting performance perfection from others when they are not perfect themselves.


For what its worth I think the board should have replaced NB at the end of the 2011 season. I do not know enough about RL to be able to judge Anderson after half a dozen games with NBs systems in place.

However he does have a say on incoming and outgoing players!

Why should i form a trust to help run the club. I have been a paying supporter for 25 years. That money goes towards paying the wage of RT (won't be a bad wage either) and others.

And please comment on ALL my points such as long high paid contracts and the departure of brett.

I have nothing personal against RT but inevetibly the book stops with him.

Fresh faces in all departments can only help, because lets face it, things can't get any worse.

Like any responsible CEO - especially with a salary cap - he controls budgets. Ultimately people who understand professional sport ( whatever their number of years watching) know the coach makes decisions on signing personnel.

I did not think you would set up a trust - that takes real effort rather than bleating. Your observation that your ticket money etc goes towards the running costs of the club is not a revelation.



4 year contracts are often 3 yrs + an option. Often the 4th year swings the deal. Many of our sihgnings have been '4 years' and i am glad the likes of Eorl and Broughy signed them. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not, this is true of many SL clubs.I have commented elsewhere about brown's role re BH.

in recent few weeks we've seen fans say we should have kept A B & C but offloaded D, E & F and maybe G, but not one person questioned any of the decisions in the 1st half of the season.

I refer to a previous comment that most asked "Brett who?" after Grix shredded the full back slot back in 2011 and then no one shed a tear when grix was moved to stand off and the boy wonder Eden came in at the beginning of 2012.

No one is to blame, it's confidence, we dont have bad players, it's the fact they've gone into this hole and it appears the rope only allows one out at a time.Unfortunately, they all might not make it out before the end of the season

So which players have full 4 year deals rather than 3 plus option. These players have tended to be proven internationals / SOO players / GF winners.

who is responsible for the training ground problems, players moving from field to field in order to train having to make their own way from pillar to post and ending back on leeds road, not kd who i gather didnt know about these issues and had to be informed by a player, none of this is helping the current situation doesnt seem very professional to me.

The only people who know what is happening at the giants are the players and the committee.I prefer to wait until they decide to tell us just what.We may all be surprised.
