Has got some stick over the last few seasons. What to people think of him this year?

Seems to have cemented his place in the starting line up, he suits our strong fast agile approach to the team this year and is super fit. His defence has always been a strong point for him, and i think the lines he runs cutting back inside are suited to the second row, could be the new gilmour?!

I've always liked him......cant ever recall him playing badly either, always gives 100% and looks eager....i'd rather him playing for us than against us anyway.
His defence is awesome for such a young lad and i actually think he's offering more in attack playing in the pack than he did as a winger but thats possibly because he's getting more ball and more room to work in the middle of the field.

And cos of his age he's definitely still one for the future.

Could never understand why he got stick to be honest, always rated him. Real solid honest player and seems to be relishing his pack spot looking at those tackle stats!

Absolutely delighted for him. If everyone had have been fit at the start of the season I doubt that he would have been in the team. He has now virtually made the position his own and is one of the few forwards playing 80 minutes each game.

Suppose it was never really criticism, certainly not to the extent Hodgson/Thorman, and certainly not from me i think he is mature physically and mentally well beyond his years. I think it was just because his attack wasn't quite up to the same standard as his incredible defence.

The stick has been aimed at Nathan Brown for moving Bruno from centre to second row. NB was right and the critics were wrong and bruno benefits.

When he moved up to 2nd row from the three quarters he got some criticism until he found his feet iirc.

Agree you can never fault his effort. My only concern is that he can 'disappear' on occasions and I think he is better than that. The new role seems to be working well

You often find that forwards "disappear" though. That's because people often dont appreciate what they actually do-many are workhorses rather than creative players. He can "disappear" for me every week with that defensive effort!

I think part of the problem with the workhorse type player is people tend to judge players on how many superb breaks and scorching runs they make and how many tries they score - i dont theink they realise some players aren't that type of player - Mick De Vere was superb for us doing what he did best - defending, but people automatically expected him to do wonders with ball in hand, i think that was probably the case with Bruno too....folk were expecting him to be like Leroy and be a more attacking player.

You only really notice the true extent of the workload that such players as Bruno put in when they aren't selected. Then you really appreciate their contribution to the team.
