went to game at fax today, not worried about result but what exactly are we or halifax getting out of it. sport is all about confidence, next week our lot step into the arena at wigan with a weakened young team and in all probability will struggle but surely a morale boosting win against a decent championship side would boost confidence team play etc or am i missing something, i genuinely fear for us this year especially in the 1st half hope im totally wrong

We lost two players to injury today- if first team had played don't think we'd have got anything out of that!

You could have played a few fringe first teamers at least not just your U21s. Its not worth fans bothering otherwise and shows disrespect to Halifax.

It's not about respect for Halifax- it's about doing what's right for the giants.

Would think only Murphy from today will play versus Wigan. We could see he is match fit.

Could see that the likes of Walker Gorman and Johnson - though young kids - can already handle themselves at top championship level.

I have to agree that it was a completely pointless exercise - as was Batley. I can't even be bothered to write down my thoughts about the 'match'.

I thought it was just what Fax needed personally. Our last two hit outs have been pretty poor apart from the first 30 at Salford and we looked to be lacking a bit of confidence which hopefully yesterday will bring us. Im not sure what all the problem is with the team that Hudds sent, i mean they never send a strong line up for the fixture so not sure why people expected this to be different. probably a decent run out for the Hudds lads as well against some of the best players in the Championship, i think both teams can take something out of it.
