Dont know about anuyone else but i would like to see a season ticket sales counter on the web site so that those that are trying to raise the sales can feel they have an impact

i have managed an etra 6 season ticket sales and there will be people who have done a lot more out there who need to feel they are having an impact based on last years sales

The problem with that is that it then becomes a number to be shot down by fans from other clubs and/or the doom and gloomers. "We should be getting more...", "If my club did this we'd sell twice as many...", "Just not good enough...".

When you take all that into account I think it's probably best not to put the actual number up although some positive updates about sales going well etc from the club wouldn't go amiss. They do miss opportunities to talk themselves up a bit sometimes.

Agree with Def4x4 it would be good to know how well or not ticket sales are going, it has the feeling of we can't of sold many so we won't say - so what!

I couldn't give stuff what other clubs fans think either, if we'd sold a barrel load they'd only say it was due to the price - and so what again!

KD has put out a great offer, using the sale numbers will help generate some interest one way or the other, I've seen a poster near the George Hotel, had a letter about the deal - all well and good but I've already bought - other than that I'm not seeing a lot else to drum up interest.

KD did a similar offer not so long ago in the hope we break the 10k barrier, it didnt work then and i dont think it will work now, all this offer succeeds in doing is giving us regular giants supporters cheap tickets. Of course we are going to get a few extra as i know some bulls fans who have bought one for when they are not playing on a sunday. But at best we will get 7k regular fans. I really hope im wrong as im a Giants fan through and through and a season ticket holder for many a year (and i have been living in hull for 10 years and still buy a pass) but im a realist. Ken deserves the stadium full every week for the effort he has put in over the years, he is a true fartowner. So please everybody lets get as many pass holders as we can for the legend that is Ken Davy and of course the club as a whole.

A play-off run would really help the Season Ticket push, which is why I think the £50 deal should be kept all the way through, and £99 be extended. That would be a good way to break 10k.

The deadline for season ticket holders to ensure they get the same seat ends on the 31st. I'd better get my in gear.

I've got 3 which i didn't get last season, all thanks to the price.

Anyone know how the season ticket sales are really going?
I.e. An actual Number rather than giants marketing hype....
And compared to this year?

not got mine yet next week about 15 of us getting them all existing but wondering if a lot of sales so far have been new ones , my neighbour has bought 4 all new ones .

I don't think we'll make 10k but 8k is doable and would be very nice!

8k would be a great success IMO.

the £50 deal was for the first 2000 sold behind the posts but cant see 2000 season ticket holders behind the posts can you?

I think this is pretty good personally. 1,500 new holders and we had ~5,000 exisiting equates to ~30% increase.

We still have this weekend to go as well. It could certainly be a lot worse.

Yeah it's a pretty positive article, saying New Holders.

In a time when the financial situation is still pretty dire.

I recognise its a big % increase - but 6500 ST holders is not that great comparatively and will be below all the other teams except london and poss salford and wakey - although depending who they get as coach wakey could surpass that and salford have their new ground as a puller.

I'd expect to finish on about 7300 ticket holders in total, just renewed mine, and didnt say how many we were up to at the time of the call. We could at a push get that 10000 av we all want

I cant see us selling 3500 in 3 days to reach 10,000 maple! If most folk havent bought by the cheap deadline then they wont buy.

IMO they should wait until about 2 weeks before xmas and do the offer again until the new year. This way they might sell a few more to people who are struggling to find a pressie for someone for around 50 quid.

Jools, 7300 of our tickets (new and current) and an average of 10000 to include walk ups on game day and away fans!! I didnt mean 10000 season tickets!! I dont think i'll ever see that, but hope springs eternal...
