Just watched the Fa'alogo try again from last weekend against Cas. Has anyone noticed the pass from Faiumu? His body language and the direction he's looking suggests he's going to use doof as a dummy runner then at the last millisecond pops a short pass to doof sending the defenders totally the wrong way. In the NRL Benji Marshall does it quite a bit and the commentators go mental over his class. It went unnoticed by Eddie and Stevo on Sunday so just thought i'd give a mention to our answer to King Benji. Faiumu take a bow. Still the most underrated player at our club imo.

Quality player .....an absolute joy to watch !!

It was Fooeys pas that really set up Dodgy's try in the second half. His cut out pass to Leroy created the three on two and then Leroy utilised that to give Dodgy a canter to the line. He's class.

Liked him from the first game he played with that devastating sidestep but as you state, his ball handling is superb. How many tries have we scored in the last two seasons through him passing the ball out, round a player tackling him?

The pass was pure class, i was just to the left when doof scored and blinked as fooey did his conjuring trick with that pass , i never even saw him look at doof.

players like faiumu are often never praised publically by managers but keep getting contract extensions because the managers now what key contributions they make. Faiumu is one of these - rarely puts in a poor display - quitely causes opposition difficulty. Never gets the cheers that erol gets but does equally as much work.

A cheer for faiumu when catalans come ithink is in order

top player...and obviously not well thought of by the coaching staff and club being awarded players player last season (think it was) and also he was next in line after kevin brown for the team captaincy

I hold my hands up to admit how wrong I was with Fuey.

I used to go crackers with Fuey saying he slowed the passing down and always stepped inside, I was all for letting him go.

How wrong I was, I think it was the court case hanging over him that prevented us seeing the best of him and once that got all sorted he has been on fire.

I have never seen a step like his in playing and watching RL and he is a joy to watch, he creates so much for the Giants and is always in my Giants 17 when trying to 2nd guess NB's team selection.

Great player great skills.but it concerns me about a 3rd of all his occluded go to ground

he has made 39 off loads and 8 errors. Even if all his errors are failed off loads we are talking 1 in 6. The reality is probably nearer 1 in 8.

he could get the figure down by not bothering with off loads ...but then we lose the real Fooey!

When a player has the skill to produce offloads like Fooey and people score tries from them we have to accept that one or two will go to ground. If he didn't try the impossible we couldn't score from the impossible. We've just got to accept that not everyone will be successful.

The offloads, the side step can just make the difference and get us a score.

He definately adds something to our attacking force, and is a great impact player off the bench as he'll exploit and lethargy in the defence.

We seem to step up a gear as a team when both he and robbo come on the field.

Plus he has a nice little grubber kick too....

whilst some see him as our best kept secret he had no chance to show his skills yesterday. Felt he was wasted at DH just passing the ball to the first reciever. have to say i think he is at his best at loose forward getting the ball at first or second recieversidestepping or dummying the opposition forwrds and offloading to the supporting player

I've always thought he was a very underrated player. If he's getting this recognition, then that means he's not anymore!
