well it is that time of the year the pussycats at home.

Should be a comfortable win for the Giants but like a couple of years ago if we take them lightly they will shock us and push us all the way.

look forward to seeing what the line up will be next week. I am led to believe that next week will be the last game in which NB experiments and after tha will be settling down with what he regards as his A team so i would expect some changes again.

Hope the Giants fans turn out in force. i would not expect many wakefield fans after what we have domne to them over the years but those that do turn up deserve some credit as they are real fans.

Take them lightly, and we could come unstuck, alright they're losing to Leeds now but for 50 minutes they were having a good go at it.

will be intresting to see how greg johnson plays against us...up against mcgillvary maybe?!, i predict hes going to be a very good super league winger... and has scored a few tries already.

they did well to beat hull and catalans away

dont think giants will take them lightly at all, dont think we take any team lightly really after the defeat to salford last year and with so many players playing for there positions

Think nb wil change again.. That's one of the benefits of our deep squad. Might give a rest to LOD - he deserves one. Big player for us come playoffs. I think wakey will be big win - the players who come in will not be taking wakey easy, as they will be playing for their places for next week.

as always a game we should win,however wakey are like a wounded animal at the moment and you just dont know what they could be capable of,could be capable of an upset here.

We have a 5 day turn around between Wakey and the Wolves. So I would look to rest a couple of key props, I would give Fa'alogo another week off and possibly rest O'Donnell. We would slill have a pack like:

Griff
Lunt
Raleigh
Gilmour
Kirmond
Ferguson

+ a bench of Horne / Patrick / Robbo / molloy (possibly Fuey)

That is a very good quality pack.

To have Mace / Eorl / LOD and Fa'alogo all fresh for the following Friday would be a big advantage.

how come we have to play wire twice in the first 9 games?

first game was magic weekend fella,luck of the draw

but with mm games pre organised, they could have arranged fixtures better so as not to have this situation

It's better than last year when we played Wigan twice in three games.

You're right though it is odd and looking at the fixtures every MM fixture is repeated in round 11 except for ours and Salford Crusaders. If I was the suspicious sort I'd suggest we were originally supposed to play Crusaders and Salford Warrinton being the other 'Derby' but someone decided Us v Warrington and Salford Crusaders would be closer matches.

Could be worse we played Wigan & Warrington four times in four weeks last season which was pretty tough going. ATEOTD you've just got to crack on and NB has a big enough and experienced enough squad at his disposable to rotate effectively.

By all accounts Wakefield gave a good account of themselves on Sunday against Leeds, however struggled to convert all the field position and possession they had, similar story to when they played Warrington a few weeks back.

Can’t see the Giant’s taking Wakefield lightly, no disrespect to Wakefield but I can’t see anything other than a Giant’s win by a respectable margin.

hopefully we will win, but if you underestimate the opposition then they will hurt you

raleigh should of been busting a gut trying to impress against hull kr seeing as it was his chance but he didnt produce anything special.

He did a solid job, probably doing what he was told to do.

With the way NB has been tinkering with the team, they all should have been busying a gut to stay in the side, and who are we to say they wern't.

I can only thnk of a couple of instances in that game where an individual did anything special, so to single him out again, smacks of you having an agenda, thats all?

It was his 1st game of the season, did nothing wrong, came off early 2nd half thinking he may have broke a shin then came back on back end of the 2nd half. I'd be supprised if he is not in against Wakie. With doof out for a bit, and our 2nd rowers playing as props, i'd have him in definately, after all NB gave him the 16 shirt so he must rate him.

I think Raleigh is going to struggle to get many games. He lacks the power of the likes of Mason,Griffin,O Donnell,Faalogo and Crabtree.
The likes of Horne, Patrick and Kirmond are also ahead of him imo because they offer far more pace and mobility.
He is a sound defencive player but offers little on attack anymore.

as highlighted by Jon Wells on sky half time commentary, which laid the foundations for a try.

i dont think we will undersestimate Wakey - After cas i dont think Browny and Baloo would let them even attempt to uundersetimate anyone . but the fact is we are miles better than them and it will take something extraordinary for them to beat us - i hope something extraordinary doesn't happen but like Meast said they are a dangerous, wounded animal and have to be appraoced with caution.
I think a few early tries will turn their roars back into little meows though.

best game against wakey was the 24 - 23 win at theirs when torrens scored with like 2mins left :')

but who ever we switch in the pack will be good enough against wakefield i carnt say i have seen one of our forwards play bad and with the half backs that we will have on show im not sure they will be able to handle us.

wakfield have played leeds and warrington at home and both with not full strength teams and they have musted up 10 points to there name now i think our defence is better than both of theirs plus which ever team we have out is near enough a full strength team i think we have players on par and the reason browny doesnt know his best 17 therefore i see a comfortable win. i dont think players will take it lightly as players in that game will be wanting to prove them selves so they play more regular such as raleigh kirmond simpson etc

How will Broughy feel playing against his old team though? Will it affect him? If so, maybe leave him out for this one? How would everyone feel about that? You know what NB is like

nahh that was ages ago.. cant see it affecting him ... cas, hull fc have been his former clubs too

rugby league players play for so many clubs nowadays its hard to keep up!
