We have a Hall of Fame, but we don't have many 'modern' players in it, we have Keith Senior, but I'd like to add a few of the golden generation players into it. I think three players in particular I would add: Brandon Costin, Brett Hodgson and Brad Drew.

Any other players to add?

Stanley Gene before all of those for me.

Paul Reilly and Stephen Wild for me.

We've had many excellent players who have given outstanding service for a year or two. Surely the Hall Of Fame is for people who have given outstanding service for [imany[/i years? Personally I would have a minimum of 5 years at the club.

Again, depending on the definition of the 'Hall Of Fame', there are one or two players from the Dark Days who could be considered [Jimmy Johnson, Ian Thomas, Wally Gibson.

Since I cannot find any mention of it on the Giants' website, does anyone know the complete list and I'll post it in the Heritage section of the Supporters [url=http://www.giantssupporters.co.uk/site[/url?

i dont think scoring all those tries in a game against blackpool gladiators is worthy of a place in the hall of fame.. huddersfied have been going as rl outfit since 1895..115 years and i think we have 21 players in the hall of fame...so its not something given away ligthly

Sorry, I got a wee bit confused.

Adalaide is partly right, We have been going since 1864, although Rugby League did not come on the scene till the 1920s, l know what he means, lve been watching the Giants since 1959, and nobody since Senior has been worthy of a place in the Hall of Fame.
Lets just wait till we have won a few trophies, and have someone who stands head, and shoulders above, before we start adding to that list.

this is the RL "Hall of Fame"
The Rugby League Hall of Fame was established in 1988 to commemorate the greatest ever players in British rugby league. Players must have been retired for at least five years to be eligible; they must also have played at least ten years within the British game.

Initially nine players were inducted when the Hall of Fame was opened; one more was announced in 1989. In 1995 the members of the hall of fame appeared on postage stamps released as part of Britain's centenary celebrations.

There were no new inductees until 2000, when three more players were introduced as part of the build up to the 2000 Rugby League World Cup.

A further four players were inducted in 2005.

This is is the one being quoted on here I believe and indeed numbers 21 players . It includes Rosenfeld, Wagstaff and Clarke who played many times for the club --but not N Fox who spent most of his playing career at Wakefield

So as Boomer says - a player`s performances for the club really have to "stand out" for him to be in the clubs roster of greats --and then to be cited in Rugby League`s Hall of Fame -----[utruly[/u exceptional.
