| His selection in the England squad has caused a bit of debate. There's a lot of knee jerk reaction with absolute statements like "Not good enough", but I get the feeling the poster responsible haven't really seen much of him to judge. I however, am quite interested in his inclusion.
I've noted that a lot of Giants fans put Brown's contribution as a major factor in a lot of the good things that have happened for you over the past 3 years, but i've only had rare chances to see him.
Can you guys give me a run down on his play - does he like 1st or 2nd receiver, what's his kicking game like, can he implement a game plan, is he a mainly a runner or a creator, etc??

| Well, testiment to how crucial he is to us is what happened when he wasn't there (Catalans 16-6, Warrington 25-16) and when he was there (St Helens SF, Warrington 34-22) is how good he is for Fartown.

| plays a lot of second receiver on the left side of attack. Set up a fair number of David Hodgsons 25 tries with his excellent long and short passes. He mixes it up well and has a clever short kicking game but does lack a long kicking game of any real note.
He is also a very sound defender and will front up to the Australians in this area unlike Myler who would have been a defencive liability.
Also second highest number of Asissts from an English qualified player in Super League last season (20) after Leon Pryce.

| Proof if proof were needed is last years CC SF against the Stains. I'm sure if Brett hadn't put that kick through for Wildy in the dying moments of the match Kev would have picked up MoM without a problem.
He was immense throughout and spotting Wellens being out of position and putting through the kick for Leroy was nothing short of brilliant.
If he gets picked , and I see no reason for that not happening, the world will see what we have and what we are keeping (signed up for 5 years)

| I agree with most of the above but he is also in my opinion our best line breaker,
and has great vision in broken play

| Good on attack but is often 'awesome' on defense. Lost count of the times someone has made a last ditch tackle to save a try and it turns out to be Kev. Chuffed to bits for him.

| He really is an underrated player. I underrated him for the first couple of seasons, but not any more. He is quality. He has a great short and long pass, knows when to kick and is great at the chip and grubber. Tackles everything and can hit hard. Runs at the line but not too much, just enough to keep the opposition on their toes. So many of our tries have some involvement from Kev. He deserves his chance to face the best in the world, he won't let us down.

| Brown adjusts his game to do what the opposition don't expect and this can be said for the likes of Robbo, Bodgy and Brough. What NB managed to do this season was change the weight of their relative roles to suit the opposition of just to freshen things up and it was the way they changed on a match to match basis or even during a match that made it such a successful season for all of them.
Brown can defend, he can pass long and short and time it and he can also attack and break the line. He can do it all, it just depends no what the coach wants from him and when and the relative balance he wants from his playmakers. He will make the odd mistake but it's a sign he's trying to do things. If you don't try then you'll never know.

| I can't remember if it was at the Galpharm or at Bradford But Steve Menzies ( one of the best i have watched in his day ) must have been sick of K Brown, he got no change out of him all match, His defence was something special.

| I saw his first game for Wigan academy, and he stood out. Of all the young players we have let go he is the only one I would have kept (or brought back). He was very close to coming back to Wigan for next season but Huddersfield offered him a better deal (and well played to them).
I hope he has a really good trip down under.
Good luck to him.

| He was already contracted until 2012 prior to signing his new deal this season. So if he had gone to Wigan there would have had to have been a fee. And probably a big one.
