| first of all, apologies to anyone who disagrees and thinks im being petty here but im sure some of you will agree with me.
so the huddersfield examiner is a local daily newspaper for huddersfield and surrounding area's, reporting on all local news and sports issues around the region, so why then do the giants get so little column inches in the examiner?
this weekend i picked up an examiner ( 62p!!) to read about the giants heroic last stand at st helens, the great support we took over there and basically with it been the last game of another succesful season,a review of the season, reactions.pictures etc, bearing in mind it was also a semi final, and what did we get? a picture and a piece on the back page an a couple of pictures on the inside back page along with chris roberts' report and meagre analysis, no fault of chris' im sure he would love to devote more column inches to the giants but he obviously has to work to a limited amount of space.now i realise they can only report what the club tells them etc but i feel that the coverage the giants receive in the huddersfield paper is absolutely pitiful considering how succesful the club have become over the last few years, and i realise that HTFC have a bigger supporter base, but compared to how much coverage town get compared to us i feel it's out of order, town get at least a page every day and a whole pull out section after a match on a monday,we get nothing except a watered down match report.
im sure had town just been beaten in a semi final it would have warranted half the paper! where is the season review for the giants? where is all the reaction from the game etc?
like i said sorry for the rant but we are trying our hardest to get the people pf huddersfield to come out and support the giants and the examiner seem to be holding us back in that respect, hell we got more coverage 20 years ago, sort it out please huddersfield examiner lets have equal coverage with HTFC.

| Whereas I do tend to agree with you I think that the Chris is writing with very tight deadlines given the paper is now a morning edition. Yeah it wasn't good before when it was an afternoon edition but still given that we generally play on a sunday and Saturdays edition would've been an hour at most to write up and collate and edit I do think you maybe a little unfair on Chris!!
But then again even the Town fans who get many pages of our local rag complain alot about the "unexamined" as they call it!!
Also how can it be our local paper when it's now printed and edited in Liverpool!!??

| no blame at all on chris, i know he would like more column inches to write about the giants, but even chelsea, leeds utd etc get more coverage than we do, why not let chris do a piece for the monday edition then but just do a match report for the weekend edition?

Is it Liverpool?
Judging by the jobs on wednesday, id guess Manc land
Compared to the football, all levels of League are poorly represented in the paper, the amateur section is normally a slawit love in with not much given to the other local teams.
I did expect a bit more on Saturday but as Nicki said would have been a rush to get it off for the saturday edition, im expecting some good pieces tomorrow.

| Lately though the Giants have been getting at least 3 pages prior to the game with a background to the opposing team and then at least 4 pages after the Game, which ok isn't as good as Town get but it's much more better than it was only last year!!!

| Stopped buying it in our household, after years of doing so. Half of its just filler anyway. And how they advertise 6 pages of local jobs when more than 50% are based in Lancashire is beyond me.
And they definitley are based in Liverpool.

| It's actually printed and published by Trinity Mirror group from Hollinwood, between J21 and J22 of M60 By Morrisons. Outskirts of Oldham. They print a lot of local rags there which could account for random vans doing the deliveries.

i like to have a little rant now and again and i just thought his comments deflected away from the fact that we were very good at warrington and thats why they didn't play well.
