As i am still out of work and obviously finances being tight i emailed the club to ask about any possible help on ticket prices for the unemployed during this difficult time for a lot of people and Rachel emailed me back with the following information :-



Must say well done to the club for doing this as it will hopefully mean more people can afford to come to the games now.
Dont know whether this was something the club agreed on before or whether my email made them act rather than losing support !!.

Whichever it is a sensible move by the club. Perhaps they could mention this on the ticket info on the website.

Great move by the club, however not sure how acheivable/attainable but if one enroles on a Huddersfield uni course and gets a student union card tickets are cheaper from the uni.

Why should people that work hard have to pay full whack when people who dont work hard get in for a concession?

because a lot of people were hard working people till the recesssion and the financial that this country has been suffering for the past couple of years and unfortunately had to pay the price of redundancy when companies had to cut costs .
i am one of those people - it isn't my fault that i found myself thrown on the pile - i desperately want a job , i cant speak for every unemployed person, but thats my situation so why should i miss out on watching my team and enjoying myself because i have been dealt a crap hand ?

Because some people that dont work are unfortunate with limited finances and not lazy good for nothings, admitted some are. BTW i have never had a day unemployed in my 34 years working life, bet you dont complain at the higher earners paying more tax !???

To get more supporters in and make it easier for those on low or virtually no income to get to games. Something every club should look to do until the economic climate changes for the better. Do you not agree with the way tax is worked out either. Do you think Sir Alan sugar should pay the same amount of tax as you, or the other way round?

I hope you do not find yourself in the same position as Giant Daz or myself and many others, who just want to work and provide for thier familys.It's no fun walking into the job in fact it makes me sick.So to all those who hate thier jobs and complain about them jack them in so people like me and Giant Daz can get back to what we want to do, and that is WORK. Again i hope and prey you don't find yourself in our position.look forward to your reply but dought we will get one.

Glad to see that the club listen and respond in these tough times, many fans have suffered and will continue to do so in these difficult times. I've been made redundant but have managed to find work so i guess i'm lucky, best of luck job hunting and keep you're head up.

Agreed, have to say half the people who i saw don't intend to work anyway and thats a shame for us that do need some help.

People don't realise untill it happens to them how tough it can be, keep trying you'll find a way. Good luck.

Been a while since i posted on here but this thread made me!

it's great to see the club help those who need it, this is the sort of thing they should be getting into the papers rather then the recent events.......

job hunting myself at mo but i have me season ticket already so wont be taking advantage of this and to be honest i hope come next season (2011) i wont need to. good luck to all those in the job market and good luck to the proud to say "MIGHTY" Giants for the upcoming season.
