If he has signed he'll do a solid job for you. He is fairly quick and can show some decent touches too. He is a capable SL centre or SR IMO. He is never going to be international standard but a good squad player.

Will welcome any addition to the club warmly - our coaching staff have to ability to improve any player that comes to the club, look at Scott Moore. Not rated at Cas before he joined us and then what - ends up in the England Squad.

If he has signed he'll be back up for every position pretty much, maybe 3rd choice for some of them. He's dependable without being spectacular, maybe a change of scenery is what he needs, im hoping he kicks on and performs really well for you guys.

Rovers, Celtic, Widnes and now Giants have all been in talks with him. Stumbling block i believe is that because he played for England in a previous life he had a fairly health salary at FC. All the offers he is getting now are substantially less, naturally he wants the best offer financially. |

In Examiner this morning, signed a one year deal primarily as a second row. OK provided no one else leaves. I would rather keep Aspinwall for example. Must say I am not too inspired by this signing but hopefully Brown will get improvement out of him as he has with everybody else.

Yes it will be very interesting to see what Nathan Brown has in mind. In the picture in Examiner last week Scott Grix's traning number was 7 which suggests he could well be first choice scrum half. With Robinson, Lunt and Drew competing for hooker we could well see David Faiumu at loose forward.
This would leave Faologo,Wild,Gilmour,Aspinwall,Kirmond,Raleigh,Patrick,Horne and Finnigan all looking for places in the second row. Even if Raleigh and Patrick are going to be used as props there are still far too many second rowers. I know Finnigan,Wild and Kirmond are recovering from injury but even so i would now not be surprised to see Aspinwall or even Finnigan leave as they are going to struggle to get any game time.
