Or, if you're looking for a sherbert or two beforehand and like the 'social club' type venue, you could park at Greenalls on Alder Hey Road. 2 minutes walk from the stadium.
If you're parking on the surrounding streets, make sure you're careful about how much car you park on the pavement and make sure you stay away from corners! The parking nazis go through phases where they ticket all the dodgy parkers locally (the neighbours get restless). Just a friendly caution!
