We were on the end of some dubious decision-making with referee Steve Ganson missing a knock-on in the build-up to Warrington's opening try and video ref Phil Bentham disallowing first-half scores by Lunt and David Hodgson.
WHY WAS PHIL BENTHAM THE VIDEO REF,IM NOT SAYING WE WOULD OF WON BUT HES FROM WARRINGTON,THEY WERE PLENTY MORE REFS TO PICK FROM TO DO IT,SILVERWOOD,SMITH,THALER.WHY??

Apparently it doesnt matter as they are 'full time' so no case from the RFL. ie they should be impartial. Not that I am saying Bent ham,s decisions were dubious. To be honest we were way below par anyway so its of no consequence. move on.

Also Silverwood - irratic, Smith - irratic, Thaler - Irratic. wouldnt have made a difference they are as bad as each other I am afraid!!

Phil Bentham is actually a native of Leigh. He just lives in Warrington.

thats the point though, he lives in warrington only in rugby league would this happen, regardless with the VR got it right or wrong he shouldnt have been doing the job because of that fact, as said previously there were plenty of other refs who could have done it, then any doubt would have been removed.

Thought Ganson was a star at the end. After Wire had walked round Ganson went over to a young lad in the Huddersfield end and gave him the match day ball... really nice gesture.

Who cares if he lives in Warrington? I live in Leeds, I'm sure I could video ref a rugby match without feeling I had to be biased towards Leeds.

The Lunt disallowed try, was it for an obstruction earlier on i the play? If so, this season has seen a great inconsistency in this interpretation of the law. When I saw the replay I suspected that it wouldn't be given.

The knock on, was that when the Saints player knocked the ball from our player's grip? Or something else? I haven't watched the match since arriving home, I don't think I can!

However, I do think that Mr G had a very good game.

Nah the young lad was in a saints shirt and it was his family who were there.

Lunt disallowed try for double movement. D.Hodgson disallowed try for obstruction when Chris Bridge was knocked to his feet by a 'dummy runner'. These obstruction decisions are always controversial, we lost to Leeds away on the back of a much dodgier decision of the same kind.

One was where the ball was knocked from a players grip, and went behind our player (or infront of theirs). One was following the chargedown, when reaching for the ball it hit his hands and bounced forwards before he caught it.

we need to move on and forget it. get behind the guys and hope we can go to old trafford. the lunt try was a try after watching it again but after watching the david hodgson one again then it was the correct decidion because shaun lunt ran straight int bridge and took him out and that is not allowed.

Louis Anderson kicked the ball, anybody who says anything else is dreaming. Bentham is a leigh fan and stiil watches them, he has no affiliation to our club whatsoever. Lunt's ball carrying arm touched the floor and he made a voluntary movement forward...NO TRY. Correct decision. Matt King stole the ball with Riley in attendance...NO TRY. Correct Decision.. Chris Bridge was taken out..NO TRY. Correct decision.
