It was a cracking game - Greg(?)Johnson has an amazing turn of pace and never took a backwards step, Cas had no answer to him. They played like a team who had actually been introduced to each other (unlike the first team on friday night)and the committment and enthusiasm were exceptional. I get far more enjoyment from watching these boys play than I do the 'elite' at the moment!

I suppose it depends on whether you regard Tom Hemingway,Keal Carlile and Josh Griffin as actual '1st teamers' - certainly none of those that didn't get a chance on Friday evening played for the reserves.

No first teamers as such. Report says Hemingway and Rob Lunt ran the show. Only senior player on the pitch was Chris Feather for Cas.

i've been very impressed with the reserves lately, especially the wingers, brown amd johnson, it might be worth giving one of them a go on the wing?

i agree about half backs though, only hemingway and robinson are the only recognised half backs in the squad

Brown used to play for Huddersfield Sharks u18s a few years ago (in the same team as Leroy). Then I think he had a stint at Keighley Cougars.

Greg Johnson was at YM the moved down to Lockwood Park where he did a season with Little Ivor. He has pace, power, self-belief, and a touch of can't-be-bothered.

looks ok from what i've seen of him - we seem to have a habit of getting lower league players and turning them into Super League players
