Scored 4 tries versus wakey reserves. I saw his second half hat trick. A great long range effort with plenty of speed and power, a try with good footwork and a hand off and a great catch & score at the end of a kick.

While we did not have one guy who has played SL for the Giants wakey had Pitts/Bibb Moore and Gleason in their team.

Well done Alex and the boys.

The RLE write up is very encouraging too. Full page on it virtually with a decent picture of Brown beating two Wakey players.

were you stood at the stand side where that wakey fan was yapping at the ref, when johnson scored his try he shouted " he's not going anywhere" 10 seconds later he's bounced off 5 wakey players to score..... briliant ask wadski

There was a winger called Alex Brown at Keighley a couple of seasons back, might be him. He was a young Black lad.

Alex is 22 years old. As a junior he played for Huddersfield supporters and Huddersfield sharks before signing for at Keighley. He played about 2 seasons there before moving to Rochdae last season. He played most of the season but left just before the end . He played some amateur games this year for St Josephs before signing on a match term basis for Giants.

A good local lad who has always scored tries at pro and amateur level He probably realises that he has to make it this year and has been giving it all in training and on match day.
