i cant honestly see a win this side of the magic weekend we just dont seem strong enough mentally to put a game to bed when all we need to do is play out our 6 kick and defend smart when we are in front instead of giving away silly penalties possesion and trying to score from every set you have to question the game plan and lack of leadership hinchcliffes not verbal enough for me

No matter how good your management/motivation/organisational skills are, the most important aspect of leadership is that the people you lead respect you. How can you expect a man who has never played with the team, and therefore has never had the chance to earn respect from them suddenly be expected to lead them? The choice of putting Hinchcliffe as captain is another very poor decision that has now backfired. I am not saying another captain was not needed for this year, but it should have been someone from the current squad who has built up respect from the players with Hinchliffe as his second to provide his leadership qualities to that individual. Later in the year when Hinchcliffe has had the chance to get to know the players and demonstrate his qualities he might then have been made captain. Now he is probably thinking "wtf have i come to here, and his own confidence will have taken hit because he has 'led' his team to so many losses"

not a fan of anderson but the question need to be ask of the MD cas and widnes have around the same gates as us . unlike us they have to pay for the full up keep of there ground in cas case a very expensive dated ground where we have town. but both clubs have managed to sign a lot better players than us over i would say the last 3 years. whos responsible should go

No the haven't. The players both Widnes and Castleford have signed are not high profile. Both clubs have a coach that has got the very best out of his players. However the Giants have a far better squad on paper and have for the last three years finished above both these clubs so I fail to see any relevance in your post.

Lot better players? Wouldn't say so. And they haven't finished above us.
As for their grounds- yeah they pay full upkeep- they also EARN money from their own grounds too- something that we don't!!!!!!!

Know what you are trying to say, but I think you have it wrong, On paper we have far better players than either, On the field they are not as good as they were 3 years ago. Most fans have overlooked this because of where we have been finishing in the league, totally understandable because that's what matters to most fans.

Anderson tried to get us playing a more expansive game this time imo,but the injury to Ellis as main pivot was a massive blow.

Seems though that PA's attempt at being expansive has compromised our usually very strong 1 line of defence ,our edge 'defence' was nothing short of laughable at Castleford.

Another problem,just like early last year with Lunt,we have a 9 not getting out of dummy half. It was only when Robinson got us moving forward at dummy half that we started to win games.

im giving anderson the next 3 games to pick up a win

if not then i want him sacked as it will be unacceptable to win just one game from the start despite everything thats gone on

Leeds fans are asking the same questions as us crikey there was a McDermott out line on their thread last year before the treble worked out for them.

I am beyond the Anderson out thing now we are 8pts behind 9th/8th place the club have by inaction made their position quite clear so I will back them as I have always done and hope that they are right and this is a transition season and that the plans are already in place for Paul to get the players he wants and needs to turn this around for next season.

Anyway a visit to some Championship grounds is probably going to be more fun than yet another Grand Final disappointment and I've missed the annual trip to London too.

I'd keep Paul,after what he has achieved for us, he deserves the chance to turn things around.Liked the way he changed our style and had got our attack moving nicely early this year.

The defence this year is a concern though,it needs sorting quick.The discipline of our one line of defence when the opposition shifted the ball was always one of our great strengths I thought,but just now it's gone to ratpoop.

I think this is the scenario we can hope for. His contract runs out end of next year so give me till then (he deserves it) But recruitment obviously needs to be addressed in certain areas. After that its Davy's call.

We are looking at 6-8th IMHO, with what would be a fantastic run at some point and I'll be very shocked if we finish higher. Lets hope we can do a last years HKR but with a better performance in the final.

Considering how we capitulate in pressure situations (such as play off games), there is every way this can happen yes. It's not the best team on paper that wins these matches, and we have proven over the last three years to be the worst team in the competition in these situations under our current leadership.

Like I said fantastic run. But looking at last years points and places, and this years results, I think the points will be more spread out over the teams by the end of the regular season. Fingers crossed.
