| Connor has played in the majority oif games this season. Since Leeming has been given his chance he has missed just the Leeds game.

You are doing it again Stella- don't be telling the truth- it spoils it for those that want a good moan...
All these people on here who have experience of coaching Young rugby league players at the highest level know better. We should stick them in at 16 and play them every week without fail it works well.... Honest.
All those Huddersfield youngsters who've never been given a chance and then gone on to have careers at the highest level in superleague...... Or not.... Well ok championship then....

| Quote ="Andrew J"Can I just throw something open for discussion. Jake Connor, whilst I like his tenacity and competitive spirit, he really does not have the pace or acceleration to be a realistic long term centre in super league. He is a skilful kid with bags of passion, don't be surprised to see him end up in the back row.
Loads of time for him to develop. He's improving all the time.'" I have always seen young Jake as a centre (he is an academy international at this position)I do believe however he is still growing so it may be a good call Andrew. It is unlikely he will let anyone down wherever he plays.

| I prefer Conner at full back
power, attacks the line, good speed, can pass both ways and - imo - has had his best games at 1

| The main thing is Jake continues to get plenty of game time. The fact he is getting it in more than one position goes to show he has several skills already developed to super league standard. If he continues to develop then we have a future international on our hands.

Connor played the 1st few games when Grix was injured. As soon as Grix was fit, Connor got dropped.
He then came in when Ferres was injured, soon as Ferres was fit. He got dropped!
What are the chances of him keeping his place when cudjoe returns.
We basically use him as cover for injuries. This is despite the fact that he is already a better full back than Scott Grix. Give him a run there and he will only get better. Yes he'll make mistakes but could be our full back for a very long time.

We lost all 3 games connor played at fullback. I don't think he is a better fullback- he has the potential to be- but he isn't yet.

| Ok Jools. I disagree with you on that, but that's my opinion.
Going on your opinion, how will he reach that potential if he is playing at centre or not at all.
The point I'm making is to give the lad a chance. A good run of games. Not one or two here and there.
We don't become weaker by losing Grix. That is one position along with 7 and 9 where we can afford to try somebody new.

You have no idea what position the club see connor in, it's looking like centre which makes sense as Wardle is looking good at second row and could take hughes' spot. You have no idea who may be lined up for next season at fullback- if it is connor you have no idea what work he may be doing in that position behind the scenes.
I trust in the club- they've not got it wrong regarding youngsters that I can see- can you say different?

| You're right Jools.
I have as much of an idea about these things as you have.
However I have eyes and can see Connor deserves to be playing week in and week out. The same cannot be said for Grix when we have other options in my opinion.
I will agree that wardles future lies in the 2nd row. Let's see where he plays Sunday.

| Er, a certain player's lack of tackling let Cas score 2 tries last week. And Grix gets slated!

| He wasn't the only one.
And the same certain player made a certain try saving tackle, so let's not be picky.
As I said, he needs to learn, and will make mistakes along the way.

People get picky as far as Grix is concerned.

| Grix is a weak link IMO. I don't think he'd get a starting spot in any of the other top 6 sides.

| Refusing to run the ball back with any heart or aggression every single game is not being picky.
we lose massive metres every game as he waits for his wingers to come for the pass or if there's nobody he runs sideways looking for the soft tackle.

Cannot disagree, but he is here for the next 2 years so more of the same I guess. Robinson is another who is a big disappointment, best days gone???

think this goes back to nathan brown days , brett hodgson did the same but boy could be setup tries.
personally i like to see the hard running full backs like hardaker and reilly.
grix is too small and sometimes can lose the ball on contact or gets dragged backwards

Brett Hodgson is smaller than Scott Grix.
Don't you know that size doesn't matter?

| I think it's very easy, due to the fact he was such a fantastic player, to forget the mistakes that Brett made - especially under the high ball and I remember plenty of times he was dragged backwards.
If we can find a better full back (as with any position) than Grix then I would fully agree with replacing him but I remain to be convinced that we have anyone in the squad who is better than him as a full back. For me, neither Murphy or Connor have taken their opportunities when Gix has been out.

This is called 'team tactics' not a lack of heart or aggression.

| Hodgson was 3rd in try assists for our team 2009/2010 seasons.
2011/2012 grix was 3rd/2nd in the list those seasons
but 2013/2014 seasons he has not been anywhere near the top for try assists? have we changed tactics since then or has grix gone backwards in this area
