From this its easy to see why the Bradford 3 maybe signed as squad players as we will be very short even still, especially in the PROPS.

You have Gaskell as a poor mans Rat boy Ratchford and can cover every position 1, 3/4, 6 & 7 and would probably end up in the centres instead of Murphy with Murph on the wing till Mamo is fit then Murph goes to Centre cover.

the deal could be off now, it would be a big risk signing him now with him being out for upto 4 months and missing the whole of pre season, even then if he did come would he ever be the same? it would give maybe simpson the chance to be number 1 if we did sign him till hes 100% fit again.

Hardaker is an undoubted talent but really hope we do NOT sign him, just signing trouble and after the season we have just had......why???? If that's what we want let's go the whole hog and bring back Scott Moore!!!

Hardaker would be a superb signing and would improve us no end. I remember when we signed Brough and some weren't happy but look how that signing went. If we want to push on, signing players of the calibre of Hardaker are a no brainer.

Someone on Casforum says Zak's agent has said he has another client going to Cas.... Also Steve Gill has said 1 more may come in (even though the squad is 'complete') so maybe we are having a little bidding war after all. Will be music to Gary Hetherington's ears im sure.

Unfortunately his off field antics and his self professed superstar image will undo everything he strives for on the field.

Hardaker definitely had talks with Salford. (There's a picture of his signing-in at the AJBell with MK as his sponsor.) The Lui to Leeds rumour was going around before the Hardaker stuff, so I'd say the chances of a deal between the Clubs surrounding these two has some legs. Who knows, maybe its just coincidence.

Butcher for me you can have hardaker at Salford. He's not worth the risk. Even now with his career in the balance he's still acting the prat. The guy is a Scott Moore bags of talent, could be so Much more, all to waste....

How is he acting a prat?? His agent will be doing all the negotiating for him. They're just trying to get the best deal for him. He's contracted to Leeds so it does make any deal more difficult. Also, if you have 3 clubs attempting to sign you, then you are in a nice position and can let the clubs fight it out to get the best deal for yourself. He's not being a prat, just the way sport works...

If the lad can buckle-down and concentrate on RL then he's a top quality player. The baggage off the field concerns me to though, as we've had our 'signing bell-ends phase' and hoped we'd got it out of our system.
