Roberts was developed by Bulls was he not? Got a lot to do to prove himself a Super League Player. Time will tell.

| Yes he was. However he is now ours to develop.
He needs to be given an opportunity in order to prove himself.
I would have given him the chance. If he wasn't ready, then look at a loan.
He played a handful of SL games for Bradford last year and got rave reviews.

| Big lad, often accused of not "punching his weight". However, that seemed sorted last year and he was coming on well. He's barking mad mind, big daft bugger.
Hope he goes well for you. It's possible that a change of club (either short term or permanent) could be exactly what he needs if he's to make a career out of pro-RL in the long term.

| seems a bit of an odd one this - unless theres been an injury in training I cant see why the 5 we have aren't good enough.
oh hang on........ I know what it is............. that Hull KR fan who was adamant on Monday that they've signed eorl on a three year deal.....

| Suprised by this as we're supposed to be dual reg with Halifax, but I can see it turning into a permanent deal if the initial month goes well. He's a big lad who runs hard, just hasn't done it often enough for me.

| i bet Jacob fairbank is happy with this news?
he's a decent player, but why are we not giving our fringe players like Roberts, Fairbank, Learmouth a chance to prove themselves?

Now that sounds interesting. Let's hope it's along the lines of Luke O'Donnell barking mad.

| When coming through I thought Cox had it all to be very very good, he just seems stupid and has had moments of letting himself down. He's a player that i'd love to keep and see him hit his potential but as has been said he may need a move to do that. Certainly got the talent.

Fairbank learmonth and Mason are all currently out on loan. Fairbank at halifax the other two at oldham. Personally don't think Fairbank has made the necessary improvements we need to make first team. Yet.

Roberts has been playing for Oldham, like some of the other senior players, cant have impressed enough to get in.
got the chance as bradford because they only had about 17 fit players !
have you seen much of cox at all?

| I'm ok with this. If baloo and coaching staff don't think that current crop are showing enough whether out on loan or in training etc and they want to freshen things up then all good. Always impressed me whenever I've seen him. As mentioned, looks similar type to Mullally. Could add real size to 2nd row or a bit of impact from bench.

So how does this stupidity manifest itself?

Doesn't matter why he got the chance. The thing is, he took it.
I've seen Cox against us and on the telly. Where he hasn't done anything wrong, nor has he stood out.
I have nothing against Cox and don't think he's a bad player. I would just rather give our own lads a shot.

| As a rovers fan I'm a bit gutted to see this deal happen. We are light in the pack at the moment and I don't see why he can't get minutes with us rather than you. Despite Chester saying Cox has a future with us I can't see how this loan makes sense if that's the case. Aaron Ollett is getting game time for us and he has also had major injury problems and just recovering. How Ollett plays and Cox doesn't baffles me unless there's more than meets the eye. Maybe Chester just doesn't fancy him, which is fair enough I suppose. Either way he will do a solid job for you

Thanks for some unknown reason he has never been seen as a prop at rovers

| came on to replace Bailey , thought he played at loose forward not prop as mullally was on at the same time and i think huby
was a handful when he took the ball up which is to be expected being the size he is, not much game time but again to be expected coming back from a long lay off, did a good job and expect to him to get more game time next week

| I expect him to play against the Catalans. I thought he made a good impact, with some real intent to drive forward which is exactly what we want although he's clearly working towards match fitness.
