| The last play was frustrating. But thought Grix played well on the whole, was solid under the high ball and direct on kick returns.
High intensity game for both teams, hope it doesn't take its toll next week.
The Koppy penalty was ridiculous and ultimately cost us. Wouldn't have been given if play had continued.

| Quote ="raceman"Usual suspects?? And missed the tackle, he just stood there watching. I know he wasn't the only one to blame but he is not good enough to be a full back in a top 4 team. Do you seriously think Leeds would swap him for Hardaker, Wigan for Bowen, Saints for Quinlan, Cas for Dorn, Warrington for Russell, Catalan for Escare or Hull for Shaul? I don't think so.'"
Yet we have fullback apart of the team who's finished 3rd and in the semi final... That's the fact!
His mistake... Wasn't as worse as Bowen's last week... Gifting saints the game.
Hardaker made errors against us too. So what? Mistakes happen.
We are 80 minutes away from a grand final and you moan about our fullback!

| A great high intensity game last night.
Towards the end of the first half Leeds looked dead on their feet. Giants should have no worries about being able to compete in that level of intensity. That effort could well have been the peak for Leeds. I have a feeling Saints will beat them next week.
Very hard to criticise any Giants player. Everyone makes a mistake at some point. Tonight it was simple as the best team lost. There wasn't much in it and a top performance by both sides but Leeds chanced their arm and a few miracle passes came off.
As for Grixy. Is he world class ? No. But he was ok tonight. As for Bowen being a better full back, five years ago maybe but not now. Quinlan meanwhile is average at bet, Russell is injury prone and makes errors and Escare goes missing when it's not going his way. Giants are never going to have the best player in every position. grixy tries hard and is comparable to many other full backs.
It's going to be a lot tougher at Wigan next week than it would have been playing Leeds. But it's a one off game which Giants have a great chance of winning. It's now at the stage that Giants down need the opposition to have a bad day to win they can do it by their own actions.
If they continue to do the right things next week the score will look after itself.

| Optimistic and angry this morning. As good as defence display as I've seen this season, but falling short in attack. Felt we tried to play them down the middle a bit too much and with no erol was not going to be easy. Thought the Ellis kick through was the best option in that instance with defenders chasing down him and support. Wardle going through and not passing to either players in suport was poor indecision, but at best was a few more yards gain, or a fair chance. Ferres dropping it getting in way, not sure, was a stinker. Thought leeming should have got a bit more game time, but think this a lot. Grix was OK l thought apart from last minute which made no difference to us really. Overall though, we have got to take opportunities against teams at this stage, that's what sets apart the winners and also rans.
As a side note, when dies Ablett start his job at united diaries? Because that guy is one hell of a milker of penalties. And is rob burrow joining hayne at 49ers?

I would argue with you there. The best team does not always win, and I think that was the case in this game. Quality game but if I were giving it points out of 10 it would be Giants 8 Rhinos 7.
Rhinos had all the luck going.

Grix is a better defender than Escare and Quinlan HTH

| I left last night as soon as the Hall try was awarded in a mood of anger (I wasn't quite sure who I was angry at!) and huge disappointment, which is unlike me as I usually always stay to applaud the players.
I then got home and checked this board only for my anger to increase when I saw the usual 'The migration crisis? I blame Scot Grix. The roof is leaking? That's Grix's fault' mob around.
However, this morning, even though I'm still very disappointed (especially as I have no idea how or if I'm going to make it to Wigan on Thursday), I have some optimism. We'll go to the DW with no expectations behind us, we'll be the massive underdogs, and I think that's going to really suit us. The season is far from over yet - one win and it's the Grand Final

Do you genuinely believe that? You don't think Huddersfield'sfirst try was incredibly fortunate? Knock on by Hall followed by terrible pass to the floor followed by a forward pass to the wing to finish - nothing fortunate there is there?
The bounce off the ball went very much Hudds way until the last five minutes when thanks to some great play by leeds and indiscipline on your part (they were all perfectly legit penalties) we snatched it. The stats will probably suggest that Leeds were the better team, we were certainly dominant in the first half, but I'd say it was very even - as was the luck.

| As much as I'd have liked you to beat Rhinos both teams credit to the game, especially after watching the RU scrumathon earlier in the week, result could be a blessing for Hudds 80 minute game and all that.

| I think as soon as Wigan beat cas the best outcome for us would be to finish 3rd
Away to Wigan is a much easier prospect than Leeds home or away
One game off the grand final against a team there for the beating
Giants did us proud last night, crowd and atmosphere was amazing

Based on 2015, Wigan away is about as tough as it gets.

| Cracking game and although it didn't really cost us anything in the grand scheme of things it was gutting to lose to them in that manner and celebrating something that 'doesn't mean anything', also thought they got the rub of the green especially in the last quarter, we didn't deserve to lose that !
Thought we were great last night and showed we can raise our intensity for the big games, we just need to do it a couple more times now !!

| didnt take our chances lastnight, robinson one was a shocker!
first half we had no field position but we had it in the second half and really should have won but for hardaker going down like his leg had been shot then the ref watching the big screen and sinfield moaning in his ear about kopczak! joke if thats a pen.
wasnt bothered about losing after that as a draw made no difference to us as we then had to play away from home anyway.
taai top performer for us, played 2nd row and prop.
ferres didnt look fit , understandable.
roll on next week, last chance saloon!

| Was as gutted at the end as i have ever been at any match of any sport I've been too. If we ever do get to grand final I'll be a nervous wreck!
Thought we went really well. We went toe to toe and lost out on the narrowest of margins at the very last second. Not a case of us turning up or choking. We were just edged out. Painful though it was/is, I can stomach that.
I couldn't single anyone out for criticism after that. Yes, there were mistakes. But from both teams, and across the board. Is grix the best full back in the world, no, no he's not , but some of the stick that is fired at him is barmy. At times last night he was quality . All full backs have errors in them. As does he, and his running playing style sometimes encourages people to get on his back even when there's no error, as he tends to crab along the line, with the ball not exactly locked down. It looks like he's going to spill the ball at almost every contact. But that's his style, and for large parts of most games, he's solid.
Atmosphere was quality last night. This season has really kicked on in this regard. Even when we don't have numbers, the atmosphere has improved from previous seasons. Last night though, with those extra numbers and the importance of the game it was a different level.
Now we need to transfer that to Wigan.

We need a prop that can make more than 9 carries. Only Huby managed double figures. Jerry spent too much time coming inside and running it up the middle, that's why he made almost no metres. It also meant that when, on the next tackle we pulled our move of shipping it quickly right we were stifled as Cudjoe was left with no option but to take the tackle cos beating players isn't his game and his usual draw the man and quick pass to release the winger wasn't available.
Peacock and Cuthbertson made 44 carries and 92 tackles between them. That's the sort of workrate your forwards need at this end of the season. Too few of our forwards came close to matching that.

| Sorry but having watched the highlights I don't know how anyone can defend Scott Grix. He cost us a point. Had that been a play off he would have cost us the match. He had all the time in the world to deal with that kick. All he has to do is belt it into the stand. I really can't imagine what went through his mind because he doesn't try to kick it, catch it or knock it dead. It's no wonder Cudjoe gave him a verbal lashing afterwards because at this level that is totally unacceptable.

Watching it again, I think he misread the bounce. Usually when a player chips over the top they put back spin on it so the ball bounces at a more catchable height for the chasers. The ball skipped on, though and Grix was left flat footed. He could've done more, definitely, but it was a wonderful piece of skill from McGuire, especially so close to the touchline.

| Grix had a good game last night until his end of game disaster! For whatever reason grix had no intention of getting in front of Hall like he easily could of done!
The robbo incident was poor! He should have scored but for me we lost this game because of school boy decision making from Wardle! I just cannot fathom what was going through his head when he chose not to give that pass!
On the other side of that we are VERY capable of making and winning a grand final! Our defence was fantastic and we broke the tough Leeds line a good few times!
Let's get over to Wigan and push our boys to the Grand Final! COYG

Yeah but why let it bounce? He has time to clear the ball into touch. He stops and waits for the ball. That is criminal, at this level you deal with the threat. The ball is the threat and he doesn't deal with it. If he knocks the ball into touch he takes the bounce out of the equation. You're right it was a great piece of skill and shows why Leeds win trophies because they have players who can execute, but Grix needs to deal with that better than he does.
If this was the first time and or he was a young player it would be forgivable but this is the 3rd time in the last 4 games that he has made the same mistakes. He cannot deal with a kick that gives him a decision other than "stand undert the ball and catch".

| very disappointing to not win that game never mind get a draw!i thought we were the better team on the night but the best team doesn't always get the spoils.couple of decisions went against us and a couple of poor decisions cost us and a whole heap of luck for Leeds i thought.
i don't like singling out players for blame, had robbo held on to the ball, had wardle passed( even though i dont think grix would have made it) ( but for me just one lucky decision Leeds got), had we gone for a drop goal at 16-8, if koppy had have raised his arm, if only grix had just done something at the end.
but harsh to be too critical, plenty of positives for me, as someone else said, we didn't choke, we were just unlucky i thought, especially in the last 10 minutes, would those decisions have had the same outcome it was the other way round? i doubt it
i would congratulate leeds but according to them the LLS means nothing so well done on winning the game and getting a home semi

even just a hand on the ball to knock on would have done
but unfair to hammer grix who i thought had a good game overall.
