I agree that there's not much to be gained by putting things out in public. Not quite sure I agree with poor management affecting what happens on the field though. I've worked for some really sh.. managers in my time, but it hasn't stopped me doing my job to the best of my ability. It's been said time and again- the coach the managers and the directors don't miss tackles, drop balls or kick out on the full.

You may react differently to shi* managers than other people, everyone is different.

Also, let's not forget there are other factors such as Robinson, Ferres, Injuries, Anderson. Everything sort of went wrong at once.

I agree we've had a lot go wrong- and recruitment has been poor. But none of that turns good players into bad ones overnight. We have a lack of leaders at the club- and that has manifested itself in a poor reaction by the players to those things that have gone wrong. The management are at fault for SOME of WHAT has gone wrong yes but the players are at fault for the poor way THEY have handled them. Some of them need to grow some whatits and show determination to fight. (Metaphorically speaking) for the club.

Valid points that I can't disagree with. No matter what has happened off the field, once they step onto that field the responsibility IS in their hands.

Yes RT has made errors, yes he might not be everyone's cup of tea but what happens on the field is the players responsibility nobody else, whatever happens at board level or at management level with the coaching staff, ultimately the players have let themselves, the fans, the coaches , the directors and Ken down, no one else but the players.

Ken is Fartown. When he eventually gives it up we should remember him with a statue or something. I for one will not blame him for the current mess. After all he will still be bankrolling us now. There are people behind the scenes who have under performed in the last couple of seasons, not just Anderson and I am sure KD knows who has done what, but he has made a living by not making rash decisions, and he has taken us from nothing to league leaders, and cup finalists by following the same rules.

What we should be doing is watching and learning and trying to adapt and use good things to promote our club ( cue hysteria on here as any negativity means you are not a true fan)

You can not compare to soccer in any way though brearley. On any weekend of League with a full program of Games for the 3 divisions, just one of the top soccer clubs will pull in more fans on their own, It's a sad fact and one i will never understand because i fail to see what people like about the game but it is fantastically popular.

On top of that we have to remember that Rugby league is just the opposite, It is very poorly supported by and large, I can remember times when it was far more popular," unless it just seemed that way ". If Sky had not come along and changed the game to Summer, it would be gone now other than as a poor semi-pro sort of game.

Sky own the game now , fans through the turnstiles although very desirable are a bonus, and are basically the main reason the same clubs win everything year on year, Simply because they have more to spend, " there are other factors as well but i think that's the main one.

i think they have tried this time to be fair, discounted tickets and spreading the word well with plenty of exposure

Also we have to remember. Town were practically giving away season tickets for this season. If I remember, but can`t be absolutely sure, I think they worked out at around £8 a game which is cheaper than our fantastically low priced season tickets.
