As others have said we have a short turnaround against opponents that have played 2 days earlier.

Next Thursday will be a much faster more intense game it makes sense to rest as many players as possible. Plus it's an ideal opportunity to give the likes of Leeming, Johnson, Blackmore another go with nothing to lose while at the same time bloody players like Connor, Simpson etc.

When Aspinall played at Salford it was a case of men against boys. I'm all for giving the youngsters a chance, but throw a load in at once and it could get embarrassing.

And Wigsey does have a point. People will be paying good money and travelling away to watch the under 20s.

Why? We have a 5 day turn around for thr playoff game and everyone accepts that the playoffs are more important - some fans dont consider the league important. We've earned the right by being the most consistent in the league all season.

There's nothing on the line apart from 2 league points - we dont need them now, we need as fit a squad as possible for next week, if we cant play the youngsters in games like this then when are we supposed to play them?

These kids have been ripping it up in the U19's for the last few months so wont be short of confidence or ability.

Don't understand why this is a disgrace. I think it's a good move by the Giants personally. If you don't play the kids they will eventually leave (look at the Bradford teams of the past?) Besides we have 4 teenagers in the 19 man squad so at least 2 will be playing if not all 4.

It's also good experience for all youngsters playing on Saturday as these guys are the future of our respective clubs. Only thing I am disappointed in is that Kopczak isn't playing and Fielden retired before playing at Odsal one more time

Quite glad it's worked out like this, the lads should be all rested, fully fit and rarin to go for the Wigan/Lids game on Thursday.

Shud be a crap night tonight for the Sky cameras with 2 teams apparently playing to lose so they only have to visit little ol Huddersfield in the 1st round of the play offs

Good move from baloo I think! If this is a disgrace what was wigans team last week? We've won the league for the first time in 81 years and giving the lads a well earned rest before the real stuff starts so lighten up a bit and get behind the young uns! Good luck lads!

Its a great move by Baloo, winning the title a week early and giving him the option to maximise the chances of the Giants having a fully fit first team for the play off's.

I paid £20, not unhappy at all Saturday is about singing i the rain, win, lose or draw, we can proudly sing 'we are top of the league' in front of the Bradford fans, worth every penny

personally I think its a good move by baloo given that we have a far more important game 4 days later!
my only problem is that the young lads could be overawed and we get heavily beaten,thus deflating the entire squad,however I am more than confident that the team we play is more than capable of giving Bradford a decent run.

I wonder if sky will be banging on about our "kids" like they do with the likes of wigan leeds saints etc?

Great decision by coach of the year, but....I'd have picked craig k , and asked him to kick off for us, do a jig of celebration, and then immediately substitute the trophy winning ex bulls captain.

I wouldn't worry about getting badly beaten, we are missing half a dozen first team players ourselves and look set to blood some juniors of our own. Add to that the fact that we were abysmal last week against the Broncos and you could very well see a Hudds victory on Saturday!
Like a few of you have mentioned, your whole team should be well fired up for this one, aiming to impress and force their way in to contention for the playoffs. Our guys will have one eye on their jollies - as they seem to have had for quite a few weeks now

I'm thinking a celebratory conga up and down odsal is an ABSOLUTE MUST.

Haha! That'd be good to watch. There'd be plenty of room around the end to do it too. Although I do hope they'd be no intimidation of us (Bulls) standing on the terraces. All it takes is one prat from either set of fans for it to turn nasty.
