We slate a lad for not achieving --when he hasnt had the right opportunity to succeed or fail!

If you have a large/ larger squad - then in the coaches eyes /for whatever reason theres personal preference and a pecking order.

Presumably he and others are signed because of their assumed potential or proven ability
If theyve played for their "country?" they certainly arent mugs and as such WOULD get games more regularly in a smaller squad
As one poster has previously posted --if they arent going to be played - dont ruin their career by keeping them as a human insurance policy --let em get out there and play at THEIR highest level with somebody else --and get as far as they can in the game

But to slate someone who just hasnt been chosen for the squad (YET) is in my opinion doing the lad(s) a total injustice

You can't help yourself have a dig at Dodgy and he like a number of key players are being rotated for next week

excellant second half today, first half was poor and disjointed but to be expected after all the changes.

Thought it was a poor performance TBH. We were waiting to win and I was worried pre-match looking at that line up. We woke up for the last twenty but we got out of jail in a way today I feel. Some good individual performances but in terms of team play we were average at best aside from a couple of sparkling moments that ended up with knock ons both times! Mason was, for me, excellent and MoM. Raleigh looked for work ball in hand second half and Lawrence played his smartest game of the season showing good decision making and composure. Grix was good and shadows Fooey well but we need others involved in that too as better coaches will come up with ways to nullify it if only Grix takes the offload.

All in all it's 2 points but had we been fully switched on we could have really piled on some points today.

spot on dan, i really hope this rotating thing will stop now and we can get our best 17 playing well and fluently too, we are just too disjointed at the moment with all the changing.
as for hodgson i wonder what the haters thought to cudjoe today? personally i thought he was shocking and i can honestly say i've never seen david hodgson play that poorly,im not knocking leroy as he is still a class player with a big future but he seems way off the pace at the moment

A few on and off at the mo tbh, said earlier Bruno off the pace but today he provided the goods, took his 2 tries really well cos took some scoring, looked up for it and ran like he meant it, well done Bruno.

Leroy had a couple of poorer games but sure he will come good again, need a settled side me thinks

We were awful if i'm honest.....i thought we underestimated wakey with our selection and we thought we had the game won before we got going.

any half decent side would have hammered us today, but we got the job done and stepped out of neutral just in time to win the game

There is no point going on about how we have a great squad and then when we use the squad complaining they did not do as well as the first teamers.

The idea of a deep squad is to rest key players for bigger games.

We won comfortably in the end and rested players for Friday. Warrington also rested players ahead of next week.


If we had the first team out and got 80 points but looked tired and laboured and lost to Wire next week everyone would have been saying we should have rested players against Wakefield

Cudjoe has been quite poor IMO so far. If he was selected as centre for Hodgy, I would rather drop him and select Gilmour Wardle or even Simpson to partner him. And keep Lawrence as the other centre.

Graham horne would be worth a shout in the centres for me, but with the tinkering now finished don't think we will see it.
