I'm sorry but he is not what the club needs right now. If he had taken over after Brown, inheriting a club that still had good players and good habits, he could definitely have been a good choice. With the club in the situation it is right now, the last thing we need is someone from the institution that doesn't think much needs changing to turn us around. We need a coach who knows his own mind and is willing to shake things up right across the board, from shabby recruitment to arranging the kinds of deals that see 35 year old players who no longer have it and are orchestrating a losing side getting longer deals. It's make or break time, and going with the status quo is a one way ticket to the lower divisions.

Thorman is saying the opposite of not much needs to change!

Thewlis runs the show, bring another coach in and recruitment will be the same and he isn’t leaving anytime soon, quote from ken when asked if he is under pressure he said “Richard will never be under pressure “ club needs changing from top down everything is Amateur

If everything you are saying is true then surely It cannot be thewlis that’s the problem........

Who’s fault is it ultimately? Ken
Who is allowing club to slip into mediocrity? Ken

Credit to Thorman for his honesty and giving the young ones a chance - we wouldnt have got to see English and the Seniors if Stone was here. However, if he is going to keep accommodating Gaskell then id rather him not get the job. Gaskell is absolutely dreadful.

SPOT on for me. We need someone who wont just pick players because they are on a big wage like Gaskell. He offers absolutely nothing for this team but yet will get picked no matter what.

Thewlis thinks the players aren’t fit so brought bumper in, even if super fit a lot of those players not good enough

If ken leaves club is doomed, if ken leaves thewlis in charge it will be a longer more painful death

I’d play olly Russell and Sam Hewitt ahead of Gaskell and Turner, turner overweight and add nothing while Gaskell is embarrassing, why play them? What have they brought or bring ? But neither is going anywhere soon ditto Rankin and one more year of brough

Olly Russell isn’t the standard we need- otherwise Wigan would have kept hold of him!!!! Hewitt did ok for a debut in terms of enthusiasm yes- but made plenty of errors and missed 6 tackles. It’s all very well playing youngsters- but if you play a whole team
Of them you are going to get beaten.

This from the person who wants Tyllar Mellor and Isacc Farrell in the team, Turner gives nothing, Gaskell gives nothing, and Wigan are have international halves in abundance but hey he’s not from Newsome so bag him and Sam

To be fair , as a team they are all dreadful.

To be fair jools if you play at Huddersfield it's a fair chance you are going to get beaten whoever you play, which is not the end of the world if you are giving an account of yourselves, but when you cant pass very well, cant catch very well, are very good at knocking on and giving penalties, It is no wonder we are down to 4.000 odd.
