| We're going nowhere fast, we,ve been gradually been going downhill from the end of last season. Loss of good/decent players (Ferres and Hughes, obvious choices) hasn't helped the cause and early season injuries hasn't helped either. But our decision to go into the season with such a lightweight squad was a big gamble by Anderson, he must have been happy to go into the season with the squad he'd assembled and his gamble has backfired BIG style. We've learnt nothing from last seasons ability/liability of giving away soft possession, stupid pens, missed tackles, poor passing options and the number of knock ons etc, etc, results in us giving tries away for fun, and we've shown we're more than capable of losing games we should have won on several occasions. We've gone from best to probably worst defence in SL in less than 12 months, WTF is happening. Just my opinion, but if the coach can't rectify some of these things fairly easily then it's time to go. I think he took over a very good squad of players, but unfortunately he hasn't shown any ability to take us that step further, we're going downhill fast. Perhaps a call to Brett Hodgson might be a good shout, he was certainly a good organisor in his time as a player and perhaps a bit of Tony Smith might have rubbed off on him.
What will be will be, but I won't lose any sleep if he goes.

| Voted no - today being a good example why - we got 8 in front with 20 or so to go - lost count of the errors we made after that - all Down to silly mistakes - can't blame PA for that. Who else is available anyway?
Stick with him I say - bet he is just as frustrated as the rest of is.

| Yup time to go cant afford anymore time, need fresh blood in to kick s and get em playing as a team again instead of individuals, facts:
Finished in top 4 last few years that said have bottled in play offs last few years even after been most consistent team in 2013. Look lost in attack still and poor in defence, taken us as far as he can imo and time for change.

| If today is a good example of why we should keep him, I shoulder to think what a good example to get rid of him would be, Losing the million pound game perhaps.

| Voted no, don't think 9 games should totally erase 3 years of good work by PA. Besides the main point for me is who this magical wizard that people think will walk in to replace Baloo if we did part ways.

| Quote ="Durham Giant"Well it is clear now that our ambitions for this season lie in playing in the middle 8s and possibly a cup run.
Personally I hope we go out in the first round of the cup because their is in my view only one target which is to avoid the million pound game.
If we get relagated then Huddersfield will never rise again.
The issue is is Anderson the right man to lead us through the 8s.
I have some sympathy for him as there have been failings at the club in my view for a number of years which are not due to him .
BUT
we need new leadership to give the players some spark and motivation.
Wakey did it twice last year with Smith and this year with Chester and it appeared to work.
W are likely to finish bottom so will have a harder task than the other SL teams.
We only need one bad reffing performance in the Million pound game and we are history.
We need a coach in now to motivate , train and possibly recruit players that can keep us up.
There are 8 weeks or so to the 8s we need to be ready.
Time to get a new coach in now.'"
Steady there, much as I love my club in the last few years we really are not a club who's example you should follow - trust me, any resurgence we may be having has a huge dose of luck attached.

| No, let's face it we aren't losing because of Anderson's choices or tactics- we are losing because players are making poor decisions or bad choices and aren't working hard enough for each other.
I think a lot of this is down to the "issue" with ferres. team spirit has suffered /is suffering - friends falling out has had a impact on the group I feel.

Hey - we came close last season. ..... and trust me even if you feel sure you're going to win, you don't want to go through the trauma of those 80+ minutes.

| Something needs to change, whether that be the coach or maybe a change in his coaching staff, but we are in a rut now and to just bury heads and say give it time won't change anything in my opinion. I believe that a coach has a "shelf life" with a group of players and maybe PA has gone as far as he can with these.
And as we are at the moment is everyone confident we would survive the middle eights?

| I think he's lost the dressing room , were has the team spirit and people putting the body on the line gone? its up to him to restore it and so far all I've heard is words, as someone said the buck stops with him. Just lookin at Wakey and Rovers. Swap coaches , and for now at least its paying off for now. I don't advocate for one minute that we should do a swap with the bulls but id certainly give a thought to Jammer the hammer at Saints.

| I voted no because he's the best available for us. Who would replace him?
If anyone put their name forward would, to my mind, immediately remove him from the reckoning as being 'Not of sound mind!'.

That's rubbish we need a coach or coach's that can breathe new life into the setup.
We have the nucleus of a good squad one or two that need moving on, Patrick, Wood, Grix and one or two others that need to get the experience.
It needs increasing in size with quality additions not necessarily world beaters and our systems need to change as I believe we have been found out.
Watch Paul Andersons press conference it's not good and watch the applicants if the job becomes vacant a good coach would lick his lips at the prospect we still aren't that far from having a really good team

| I voted no, but it's something like 60-40 no in my mind. Baloo has given us the best season in living memory when we won the LLS and has consistently given us a team competing at the top of the table. Yes this season has gone badly wrong, but we don't know how much is his fault, out of his control or the fault of others behind the scenes. Did Anderson say the squad was fine or was it others at the club not wanting to bid for players?
Has he damaged the team by taking the captaincy off Brough?
We are not losing by large margins, look at our points difference, but ill-discipline is a massive problem, it's been there for along time, but now it's more obvious and it's probably cost us 2 or 3 wins, an extra 6 points and we wouldn't have this problem.

Anderson inherited a decent squad from Nathan Brown and tinkered with it with some success.
The problem is this is the first time he has had a bad start a major injury problem and a setback.
His body language is all wrong and he doesn't seem to have a plan B I wanted us to win yesterday more than anything but these sorry capitulation's can't be allowed to continue its no good shaking your head and wringing your hands action is required be great if we win at Hull Friday but every sign points to a major mullering in a match with confidence sky high v zero

| After hearing his response after the game confirms he has lost the plot. How can the Players be inspired or motivated when the Coach is defeatest. Come on Ken ring the changes before. it's too late and spectators down. No doubt Jools will disagree, being the management supporter.

So hang on- I'm being put down for being inspiring and motivating....... Because you perceive the coach isn't- and is being as defeatest as you.....Haha my irony meter just broke.........

| As the original post is a question surely posters are allowed to answer with what they think rather than shooting down ones who don't think the same ??
As for me one part is thinking we should give him the chance to improve things( after all his record isn't exactly one of failure) on the other hand maybe a fresh approach is needed but if we are to replace him it has to be someone of a higher calibre than what we have already otherwise it's pointless- we may as well just carry on as we are rather than change for changes sake.
We can't be making knee jerk decisions as a club based on 1/3 of a bad season if we don't actually improve after it !!! There is no guarantee sacking Paul will bring improvements so let's be careful what we do and wish for !!
