| Hard knocks Huddersfield, I thought you were unlucky not to be in front by more than 6 at half time. If you had been I'm not sure we would have come back in the second half as we did

| First up I think with the disruption wigan had that game was a game we should have won and that's credit to wigan and the players they can bring in! Although they play a very niggly type of rugby. A good side like that doesn't need it in there game imo.
We can take a whole load more out of that game than the hull game. Anderson made a few positional changes and they certainly improved things. Robbo coming off the bench was awesome in his first stint, certainly added some zip. Mull was the best prop on the park, hit the line hard made meters after collision certainly our best prop at the min. Connor is the future, a defensive mis read or two but what he offers in attack is vital, what vision for the murphy try!
We are not a million miles away and hopeful we can keep improving! I would go with the same squad again for leeds with possible changes to the following if there game doesn't improve
Lunt seems to have lost his zip and distribution speed, robbos running game was great and you could clearly see the difference if Lunt don't improve look at leeming
Koppy didn't really notice him so far josh Johnson wasn't the biggest lad but put in the graft big time for us early last year!
Bailey, hasn't found the good lines like last year, Bruno gives us little in attack but 50 tackles a game adds a lot of steel in the middle

| I enjoyed watching us yesterday. After the Hull game last week it was a huge improvement.
No player really played bad. If we had been more composed I think we could of taken a 12-18 point lead in the first half.
I'd keep changes at a minimum. I'd put Johnson in, in 2 weeks for Crabtree. A younger pair of legs in the prop department is something I'd take a chance on against Leeds.

| Quote ="Stand-Offish"The ref warned Wigan just before half time that he would be having no more of the Wigan cheating and then he did NOTHING after more of the same.
Pivotal ...
Carry on cheating Wane.
Giants could still have won but tried to play beach rugby and fooked everything up.
Another sad day for rugby ...
Any day that Wigan win playing hold down and fiddle is a sad day.
But then I don't like their ethos, I'll be honest.'" Just watched that incident when the ref called out the Wigan captain and said,'Thats seven penalties and could have been seven more, sort out your ruck and foul play'There was something more that I couldn't quite make out but that was the gist of it.He then went on to do nothing about it, strange refereeing. On the night we were not quite good enough but a big improvement.

| He was on telly and playing to the cameras like the trend seems to be these days !
Centre stage and bigger than the game itself
Penalised Eorl at one point for double tack;e /ho;ding down -but when you slow it down he hadnt a finger on the player when he dropped to the floor again!
NOT the reason we lost but when we see a game reffed without a bias you wont notice the ref !
standard`s as poor as Ive seen

| It's a Team game but as usual the same players take the blame.
The game was lost down the flanks with some awful defending.the number of stray passes and fumbles are overlooked.
The new Players are still not convincing and the Recruitment along with long contracts given must be Questioned. It the losing continues Heads will roll and it should not just be Players.

| Much better, but my god there's some right knee-jerking going on, we're 2 games into a new season and people are wanting players dropped, coaches sacking etc.....lets give it a few game eh ?.
We played quite well last night, effort was there we were just beaten in the end by a couple of individual errors and a lack of concentration at times. Plenty of positives. I'm sure some of our fans just expect us to win, see the reult and go and pant-wetting when we've lost !.

| Spot on Daz- don't forget we also havent had the preseason games others have, in both games so far we've been in the mix for the first 60 at least.
The main positive for me last night was how Brough stayed calm- high shot after high shot on their line, holding down and wrong calls about who's ball it was and he didn't lose it- and didn't it make a difference to how he and the team played.

| it's a bit silly isn't it? it's becoming like football now, fans wanting managers/coaches sacked because we lose a couple of games.
as i've said and daz has alluded to we played alright for most parts last night, but for a few individual errors, dropped balls, missed tackles, loss of concentration, misplaced passes etc we should have won, as a team we did alright, just basic errors cost us.
that's not the coaches fault it's the players! and i'm pretty sure the players didn't mean to do it unless they are deliberately doing it to get the coaches sacked.
2 games in, one poor game where we lacked match fitness another against a top team who capitalised on our individual mistakes, plenty of knee jerking going on, get behind the team, support them instead of looking for negatives all the time.
get to leeds in 2 weeks and backtheboys!!

| Lack of pre season is not an excuse. It is something that should have been sorted. Baring in mind it was January, contingencies should have been put in place in case any games were cancelled due to the weather.
It's not just 2 games either. It's continued from last season.

it all started when a super league club pulled out on us late in the day so then we had to find a replacement which was halifax which was far from ideal as it has proved, shame about the other with the snow.
if we had bigger crowds we could have a home game with under soil heating, but seems the club tries to avoid home friendlies...maybe next pre season they will learn

| Exactly. So we have ourselves to blame.
A few of our senior players were not in the squad to face Bradford anyway.
Poor planning by who ever was tasked to sort it.
Some clubs had 2 games in the same weekend giving their whole squad a run out.

| if we was a bigger club we would be able to afford a home pre season game but we avoid them due to costs, abit like the world club challenge we avoided that too due to costs! think we are kidding ourselves if we think we are ever going to be winning something , we are punching above our weight.

| If we were a bigger club?
Like Halifax, or Bradford or Hunslet? Who all played home friendlies.
Why could we not play a "home" game at YMCA or Lockwood park or even Batley or dewsbury (giving them the gate receipts)
It's straight up poor planning and organisation. Anderson obviously thought 2 games would be enough. Turns out we only got one and it's now an excuse for a poor start.
Doesn't wash with me I'm afraid!

none of those clubs have the costs we have to put a friendly on.
wish we could have a home friendly ever season but like i say its seems the club avoid them due to costs.
they may very well have had a home game planned but a SL team pulled out late in the day, have a go at that club for messing us about.

| It was Hull, who pulled out when the fixtures came out and saw that we had them for the first match. By that time no other SL club wanted any additional games.
We had a home game last season? Season before? and lost a fortune.

| You made more mistakes than Wigan and it cost the game.
Charnley dropped the ball with the line open.
Wardle dropped the ball a few yards from the line and might have scored if he kept hold.
Robinson knocked on 2 yards from the Wigan line at the ptb.
Cudjoe's missed tackle on Joel T cost a try but that's a difficult one as the Wigan man is very big and I don't think a one on one is going to stop him at that speed and five yards from the line.
28 games to go and you have a very good squad.
On one of the Wigan boards they want half the team sacked and that's after getting 3 points from four against two teams whom we lost both the same fixtures last year.

| Can't understand - the reason for the losses in our first 2 games was put down to a lack of pre-season games and real game situations and NOW we will benefit from a week off before the Leeds game. I'm Confused!
