Some people are just slower at recognising the difference between effort and talent. He doesn't have the whole round game of a Hardesty or Millward, as you will know, but he is the best we have got and he will score a lot of tries ( just like he did for Leigh ) if they ever learn to offload the ball to him.

the day we signed Brierley I said him and Brough at half back would work a treat. Putting him at full back should never happened.

Lunt to KR was the Giants decision, not Lunts- done because his attitude was bad. He thought he would be able to get another gig at Leeds-Giants had other ideas. He killed any hope of being picked for England by that move.
Why on earth would brierley want to go to KR to play in the championship again

While I disagree with the way Ryan & his agent went about their business & indeed it left a bitter taste, if he is a Top Championship player then he can make it in SL, just not as a FB.

Chris Hill was a Top Championship player, now he is a top SL & International player.

I think Ryan can be good for Giants but physically & in defence, he needs to muscle up.

Thought that too, also think of him as like Deano in that not a natural half back who organises and leads the team round the field, but a rare talent who can and will make his mark on the game with the ability to score great tries on a regular basis. Would have loved to have seen him playing in the same team as Fooey, he would have had a field day

I believe that half back is his best position, he is more ready in that position to back up any half break from the forwards.

Watched the highlights (your tries) against HKR. Have to say those first three tries were vintage Ryan Brierley. All you have to do is harness that ability, don't turrn him into something he isn't, (i.e. he's not a ball playing half back yet) and you have a match winner. He certainly showed that his 'Championship pace' works pretty well in SL too!

Congratulations on working yourselves out of a tricky situation. Like us, you can now thoroughly enjoy the MPG!

History now,the Giants are gearing up for a big challenge for 2017,Leythers will be 4 comp points we are looking towards with some expectation.

Of course, we may be 'improving' in the close season as well!

Improving? or just getting some new old and experienced aussies?
