So can we conclude that the squad didn't want to play for Paul Anderson anymore, and the club should have replaced him sooner?

No cause they aren't playing for anyone- not even themselves!

I think she's right here, sad if it is the case, but there is a malaise that no one but the players it seems can get rid of.

| Need to play from minute one to 80.
Points difference and confidence is huge considering games get increasingly hard after this.

| Well we got the win. Featherstone got very upset at Brierleys scoring a second try -
Hewer wasn't great either. Hit and miss with his offside decisions for both teams- many times we weren't onside. Fev were convinced woody's try wasn't one- - But how on Earth was fevs third try given! They'd knocked on and Huby picked it up- so it was a free play!!!!
Woody, Bruno, Leroy, Ollie and Wardle were good today, Ormsby and Connor not so good. Connor does not appear to me to be a team player and some of his decision making goes against what Stone is saying we need to be doing with the ball!

| Just shows how far we have gone down that I came away from the game rather underwhelmed. If that's the standard of the championship then I hope it has given our boys the incentive that if they don't pull their finger then fev will be the standard they will play every week.
Thought Woody speeded things up when he came on and they have to go with him and kruise going forward. Not got a lot more to say as I thought we did what we had to but we are where we are for a reason so I guess a win is a win.

| great to get back to winning ways and seeing a few smiles on faces again!
cant complain when you score 62 points
thought wood was great today , very determined and caused fev problems with his pace...
wardle played well on his comeback, hope he can get a run at centre now
thought fev were supposed to bring 1000 supporters? way short of that more like 200.

| I thought Ormsby was excellent today
Certainly ran the ball back hard
Some sloppiness still - especially with Ellis' passing at times but good line speed, they showed a desire to win that's been too absent and overall looked like a team
Leeds won 62-6
We won 60-16 with two of their scores from Hewer being clueless
So I'm not sure we can gripe so much

He certainly ran the ball in well- but Ormsby looked a bit shaky under those high kicks to the corner though!

| I was quite close to the last two Fev tries. Second was in touch, third he bounced the ball.
Appalling refereeing in both directions.
I thought
Connor was poor, no pace and is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.
Murphy and Ormsby were ok
Cudjoe had a quiet game
Wardle was a good comeback game
Ellis was patchy some good some poor
Brierly needs a few more breaks by the other players. When there is one he's there.
Crabtree better than most games this season.
Hinchcliffe works hard but not a hooker. Way too slow at PTB
Huby one of his better games.
Lawrence solid as ever
Taii Quiet for him.
Ikahihifo was average for me
Roberts again looked impressive
Wood was very good when he came on and speeded up the PTB
Rapira was solid
Mason was solid
But as a team lacking in cohesion and ideas. Would have strugged to even beat an average Superleague side today.

| Wood looks so much better at hooker than hinchlife.
Quicker ptb and takes on the line much more, plus scoots well. Couple of good kicks too.

Brierley played ok Ellis was poor in my opinion his passing was hit and miss and he has slowed up so his show and go rarely works Brierley and Brough for me for the Leigh game.

| we needed a win, preferably a big one, and got that, job done.
Wasn't by any stretch a barometer of anything, at times we were good, other times, our typical frustrating selves, Fev were good in patches and never gave up and tried hard enough, but we had too much full time power, speed and skill in the end.
Let's not get too ahead of ourselves, on paper this was the weakest team in the qualifiers, we still have work to do!

| Major disappointment for me (and I suspect Ken) is only 3,000 or so Huddersfield supporters appear to care enough to turn up to support the team!

Another one wanting to get at the supporters. A lot of us have cared all season and enough to go to Salford last week for the tosh the Giants served up.
Sorry mate that's a decent gate for a Championship match get real !!

Most people only care about watching and supporting a winning team.

Where do we start Paulie?
It's pretty obvious the people of Huddersfield care not one jot about the town's professional rugby league team.

It's still a disappointment though, hardly having a go, the question is, without landing major silverware how do we get people to come?

| Jeez we score a dozen tries and totally dominate the opposition who only get near us due to wonky ref calls and people still moan
Talk about lose lose
Fev defended damn well at times don't forget that
They are a decent side who finished in the top 4 of a hard fought comp
And we stomped them
Last week Leeds were "amazing and going to win everything"
They only put 2 more points on than we did
Our line speed was there
Our desire to win was there
We worked as a team
Our attack was split between Ellis and brierly and so tough to predict (unlike if brough is on then it'll be through him and end in a wonky kick)

| interesting comment made by stone saying he wants to see aggression, thinks we are too nice
how long have we been saying this! no enforcers anymore.
ive certainly noticed crabtree is running harder last few games too
hope to see more line speed as we get the stone mindset going forward

More than they deserved after the Salford shambles. I said how they played there would decide whether I went again or not, but I did go again yesterday anyway. I watched Brierley carfeully yesterday, He supported every player taking the ball up on the left hand side, He got one offload from Lawrence that I saw and that was in the third quarter of the game, every other time he died with the ball, Never made any kind off attempt at all, and nor did anyone else.
The win is welcome and much needed, but being honest they are going to need to step up a few levels from that. Maybe it will give them a bit of confidence.
