Also a massive mention to the machine that is Michael Lawrence SIXTY that's 60 tackles last night, 19 carries and 126 metres that is an absolutely inhuman effort! More tackles in 2 games than many players manage all season. Anyone who suggests he doesn't deserve his starting spot is bonkers!

Where did you get the stats from. When I look at the report on the superleague website it has not been updated.
Those stats from Lawrence are incredible he has really upped is metres made this season and his tacking has always been quality.

Worse result of the season as far as some of our fans are concerned!

Well considering you were giving the coach three games don't see why you are crowing.

Like all Huddersfield fans we are glad of the win last night a much improved performance but one that's been too long coming.

The standard has been set the challenge is to repeat the performance over the next three games then we can all start talking about corners been turned.

However if there is one grain of truth in Ben Westwood being a target I hope last night ended any thought of Benny coming to the Giants there are going to be many better options if we are patient.

Outstanding team effort and the first time I think I have ever seen us be patient in attack and be happy with repeat sets.

For me Brough, Connor and Bruno were the stand outs, but a really good all around performance and the best bit was seeing the commaradre when Leroy went over.

Onto wigan...

Also shout out to murphy who had his best game of the year imo.... I was cursing when he let Evans catch the ball in our in goal, but to hold him up, cover the ball and take him over the dead ball line was outstanding.

ye after the hull game i gave him the next 3 to get a win ... boom he did it in the first!!!

That and Brierley's cover tackle were game winners just as much as the two tries were

Well for my part this is the first chance I have had to post. Regards the game I thought it was the best effort this season, I have nothing but praise for the team and it shows that even with some of the big names missing , the young players can do the job when the attitude is right, Lets hope the same team get the chance again next week.
Whatever brought about the change in attitude I have no idea but I hope it continues, winning can become a habit just like loosing. Credit to all for that show.

Iv'e noticed he seems to have picked up as well, He was very good at Cas, Maybe things are coming together for him now, Although his stat's are very good apparently ( and I don't dispute it ) I don't get too all the games so that will probably account for some of it , for me anyway.

In my case, and others i've spoken to, it's the constant negativity, the looking for blame and scapegoats,questioning of people who tried to remain positive, slating of other fans and general bashing of all things Huddersfield RLFC.

I stopped even reading the boards, never mind posting, i will still post on the odd occasion but the last few weeks have more or less seen me done with this board.


Great win and performance on friday, but who takes the credit? certainly not the coach or the players or the club as they're all useless etc. there's always someone to blame when we lose so what when we win?

Something else I would add. all the talk about losing the dressing room and falling out- you don't work for each other as hard as they did for each other on Friday if that was the case.

PA got tactics and player choice spot on Friday night- out manoeuvred TS and our players played the conditions better and not only won but NILLED a team who had only lost two games all season. Our youngsters out performed theirs. Where's the Anderson out brigade now?

There's too much emotion involved on both sides. It turns into some sort of 'true fan' or RL knowledge competition. I see both sides, I see a club that I don't believe is very well run at a business level but has an honest manager and playing staff. I think the reality is that all is not well at the Giants. But regardless of that, the team should still be in the top 8s. I've also been around long enough to know what I think isn't that important anyway.

Couldn't agree more, It just seems to me that some people on here can't tolerate anyone else's opinion if it doesn't tally up with their own, They just brand it as negative, tell you , you are not a true fan, call people weirdo's, and now say some fans want the team to lose. And as a last resort Blame the fans for the misfortunes of the team/club when all they have done is turn up and pay their money. It is pathetic to say the least.
Better to start a Giants admiration society than a forum, where you can talk about how good things are compared to what they used to be, and when things are not so good , just defend anything and everything Giants, get behind the team when they are playing rubbish and wait for the Golden days that will surely come , and you are right, what you and me think don't matter diddly, except as a topic on here , and my efforts seem to upset some people , which defeats the point of a forum really.

Well Jumbuck there's a lot of sense in your post. None of us want anything but good for the club and team and when things go pear shaped because we care, most of us want to debate/talk with like minded people.

Whilst no one was more pleased than me we won on Friday it was one step forward after many steps back. There are a lot on here crowing saying we were wrong for been concerned and questioning the coach and club but Friday answers a couple of questions amongst many and I for one will continue to support and hopefully observe more steps in the right direction nothing would make me happier.

We are bottom still and have a long way to go to respectability and hopefully the next few games will change the perspective and my views on the past few weeks but I defend my right and those like me who will air our views in both good and bad times.

How that's disloyalty to the club beats me I've (including my Dad paying for me)probably including transport spent the thick end of £30,000 in my life time watching Fartown/Giants or worked full year to pay for my obsession.
