| Got to disagree AntGiant, Grix comes into the line better? Better than what? A winger with no previous experience of playing in a ball playing position. This is Grix's best quality but its nothing to shout about. If passing along the line and the ball gets to grix he very rarely lets it go, its just off the cuff stuff. I don't even think he organises the defense better.. but that's just my opinion
Murphy at fullback for me and a trade Robinson in for a newer model please!

| Grix had a good record against us in the recent past.
Other people to blame.
Crabtree way from being anywhere near fit last night, too much put on Robinson, who was behind a dominated pack

| Full back is the last line of defence. I expect a full back to make the odd one on one try saving tackle after everybody else has failed.
I don't expect him to make all of them, or even the majority however please tell me the last time Grix made a last ditch/try saving tackle.
Folk saying he is great at joining the line. Brilliant. Doesn't make him a good FB. Connor has scored some crackers with late runs onto the line and he is an 18 year old lad with less than a dozen SL games to his name.
Don't get me wrong. We could have had billy slater at full back last night and we would have still got bummed.
My frustration is that we have better players for that position. He does not have to work to get back on the team for some reason. As soon as he's fit he's an automatic choice.
Shaun Wine didn't put Charnley straight back in after his injury. He made him work for it and kept the young lad malfrandi in who had earned his right to play.

He made a couple right on our line in front of us, just before the two try's that were carbon copies of the two that saints scored last week, one where it was two on one and he had no chance, the second where he had to come across to the wing after jerry had left a space big enough to park a bus in. (Again, and to be repeated many times) Those were right before the crowd got on his back - but then why would folk remember those try savers....

nobody was to blame, in fact, yes they were, all 17 players in claret and gold last night were a blight on the shirt.
how anyone can pick out individual performances after that debacle is mad!

| Don't think I've ever felt as embarrassed leaving a game as I did last night- and the number of drubbings we've had over the years that's saying something! Couldn't get to the car quick enough!

| bailey, mullally, kuffsui and chan seem to be players that Anderson doesn't fancy this year. With Chan going to KR and suddenly getting into the team of the week.our attack with brough is a ferris of load or a cut out pass . No brough then Wigen just needs to keep ferris out of the game.next week i can see brough cumming in for conner as the only change.

He was shocking along with the rest of them. However I blame the coach. He messed up. Should have kept the same back line as last week. Grix is my 3rd choice full back.
For some reason tho if he's for he plays. Doesn't matter what Murph or Connor do.'"
I agree mate,Grix is a turnstile against the top sides and especially in big games. although he does look very good when playing the lesser teams, he's a flat track bully IMO and Murphy is your best FB without a doubt with Jerry and Broughton your best wingers
Your pack really dissapointed me last night as they were far too easily dominated up front, i expected some big efforts from Crabtree, Tai and Ferres as they have all been very impressive this season?
But at least you've got a home semi to fall back on when you should easily be able to beat your bitches from Leeds

Sorry but Grix was under done and should not have played one and one tackles are hit and miss but some of his positional play is poor and the 40/20 which he should have been in position for was the start of the rot !!
No worse than many others for me but based on the week before Murphy, Broughton and Bailey should have all played in the same place you don't change a team that's just beat the top of the league !!
Anderson was more culpable than Grix but I reiterate Grix should not have played how that can be seeing it as blaming Grix you would have to be one-eyed !!

| I was at the game and I blame him for the 40/20 totally misjudged it either bad play or more likely as I said earlier underdone but most around me agreed it was a turning point in the game but no one in their right mind can hang 57-4 on Scott Grix alone.
Analysis says not playing Bailey and Wigan targeting Connor and Johnson was a big part of it but we should have kept the same team with Eorl for Josh Grix is a confidence player and Thursday always had the potential to go pear shaped for him.
As I say majority around me blamed the whole team and Anderson for changing the team the Bailey leave out was a big misjudgement ad when Jake lost it we could have changed it around like last week !!

| We could've played any team you want and we would've lost that game. The turning point wasn't the 40-20. Wigan could've and should've had 18 points before that time. After the first 2 sets it was obvious which way the game was going to go. We were beaten by a side that knows how to win play offs. A side that knows how to ratchet it up the two notches you need at this time. A side that knows that you have to be willing to leave everything on the pitch and play like there's no tomorrow.
We simply don't know how to do that. We are a decent league side but we have been a p**s poor play off side since we started playing in them (in the Superleague era). We can't string together 80 minutes of high intensity play. We didn't in the NFP Grand Final, we didn't in our best play off run either, we haven't all season. We need the o0ther side to play below par and allow us back into the game.
Wigan were never going to do that.
Analysis says Wigan are better in play off games because they know how to win them. We are a club that is happy with mediocrity. That's the reality.
