| Quote ="PONNER"Shame he managed to see our 'forward pass' tries yet managed to miss yours. Halibut certainly helped the Bulls cause yesterday.'"
But Ponner (and no sour grapes about the result/performance)sadly(like many other refs/supremos and commentators) didnt help the reputation of Rugby League to interested outsiders one bit!
The damage thats been done to the game when we`re trying to "expand" is immeasurable IMO!!

| The handling yesterday by the Giants was the worst i have ever seen. They seem incapable of adapting their game to the conditions.
If you dont keep the ball it is impossible to build any attacking pressure.
In defence i thought on the whole we looked solid against a Bradford team that had a lot of pressure on our line. What is frustrating is that individual mistakes are killing us rather than the actual defencive structure been wrong.
Luke George cost two tries by shooting out of the line when he had no need as the centre was covering and Grix had a bad miss on Kearney which cost us the game as it was just after the otherwise impressive Cudjoe had thrown a blatant forward pass to his winger when a bit of composure would have put us right back in the game.
Add to this the woeful effort on Diskin and that is four tries through basic individual mistkes.
In attack though their is no direction or leadership. Brough had a real off day and no one else seemed ready to step up.
I thought only Eden Wardle Cudjoe Lee and Lawrence came out of the game with any credit yesterday.

| The game turned - just as it did at Salford - when Jerry was penalised for not playing the ball properly. We were in control of the game and didn't need to force the PTB. Simple, basic rugby.
This was closely followed by a forward pass[? and then 2 blatantly obvious obstructions in the build up to their first [? try.

i was actually shouting at alibert to send him off as he had become nothing but a liability to the team at that stage - shame as he started out pretty good too

Spot on totally. Mason is a liability, if he ain't giving penalties away, dropping the ball and taking cheap shots at opposing players, he's mouthing off at the officials, time to go for me!

yep all the dropped ball and handing bradford the ball came back to haunt us in the 2nd half as we were knackered from all the defending we had to do.
luke george didnt look as strong in his running either, was well marshalled by bradford, i think murphy must be injured as he did nothing wrong to lose his place.
mcgillvary is no where near fit enough at the moment, been struggling in all the games since hes been back, and the early knock he took made it worse.
we all know about grix in defence.
cudjoes pass was forward i agree....and the efforts on diskin were laughable!

| did anyone really think all our problems would dissapear when brown went, the main change is most of the players are trying now but the damage for this season has allready been done and was to late to even think of a recovery, mason should just be kicked out now pointless player just there to cause trouble !
was a very poor performance but its on to the next few games and the end of the season when the clear out/ rebuilding starts for next season

I make no apologies for repeating myself:
The one player who tries to get in the opposition's faces and he's slated for it.
Mason first saw the red mist when he was on the floor in a tackle and 2 Pratford players were rubbing their hands in his face. Both the TJ & ref were nearer than we were, yet 'didn't see it'. I agree, he shouldn't have thrown the ball, but that's Keith for you. Long may he stay in our team.

shock..a rugby player getting hands put in his face in the tackle!
im all for the agression, just not the penalties that come with it and put us on the back foot all over again.

| Think the issue with Mase is not his lack of aggression, which is greatly needed, its the fact that he lets it get the better of him and becomes a liability due to the silly penalties he gives away - which is almost gifting the opposition a try these days .
using his aggression to run through the defensive line or hitting players legally is all well and good, problem is he isn't using it for that at the moment.

Spot on. I applaud. We complain about lack of passion and then critisise someone who shows too much of it.
Yes controlled aggression and passion is better than uncontrolled- but at the moment beggars can't be choosers and I'm happy to see someone with claret and gold fire in the belly who is frustrated about what is happening on the pitch.
