we now play bradford bulls on the sunday at magic weekend.. 5.15pm kick off



take these dates released with a pinch of salt we know for a fact quite alot will change from sundays to fridays/saturdays...

..............just as long as they dont mess with the Dragons away fixture --which they have done before and spoiled it for travelling fans without any consideration!! ( not us I mention)

but it aint fair when theres flights and accommodation to arrange !!

I'd guess this is not the Giants doing but some numpty at RL HQ, and they wonder why the game struggles.

Or maybe Sky wanted the change?????

May be they did maybe they didn't but surely they knew what the fixtures were and that they were being communicated to the general public a few hours before they got changed, smacks of incompetence of the highest order.

Perhaps but a game 6 months away getting moved....so what.

Follow the thread, it leads into debate about hoping fixtures don't change hence why people don't want to book travel etc. then we see the powers that be announce something and then a few hours later change the dates and time. They've had months to get this right and yet fall at the first hurdle.

But if some people are happy about fixtures changing as and when the powers that be choose and wonder why the game is struggling to bring in fans (money) then it has alot to learn, some things are very simple to fix -like not making a big song and dance about embargo's etc. on fixtures and then a few hours later make changes, how many more are going to change, pizz people off when booking travel/planning their time when Rugby League seem to think 'so what' it's only the fans (money) we're kissing goodbye to

As a saints fan, it's already been mentioned that the away support is going to be significantly down at Huddersfield.

A Monday night game is not going to get the same amount of away fans as previous years.

There does seam to be a few bloopers for different clubs this year.

Just be glad you're not Leeds. Away to Quins on a Monday night????

Or London- for who the leeds game is probably usually their largest crowd!

Widnes have switched some games to Friday nights,and we have copped for one.Only Warrington over there in Lancs left now as a Sunday fixture.

Wire also Friday,just noticed.

Wakefield fans have come out of it well. They are on Sky 6 times so far.
5 of them are away games!!!

You don't need to tell me a travelling 100 miles to each home game so the only games I missed were the Friday Night v Cas and Monday v Hull KR but much rather changes be made now rather than a few weeks before the game as happend at Saints (a match I did manage to make), in principle I think fixtures should not be changed but this far out I have no problem if teams need to tweak their fixtures. I guess the real issue is Sky TV but ask sports like fans of Greyhound Racing and Speedway that are not certain they are even going to be on there in 2013 if they would like to be in the position RL is in and see what response you get.

Only if they are home only fans, in the main it is away fans who are inconvenienced more than home ones with Friday and Monday night fixtures and I am sure there are Wakey fans who would like to be at those away games but will have to stay away and watch some of them on TV.

It's slowly creeping towards Super League becoming a Friday night competition,not sure I want to be part of that.

# Salford away on Good Friday afternoon,which means some of our fans won't be able to travel due to the fact that historically GF is a working day for many around here.

I noticed that too Paul hardly any sunday fixtures away!!

Will be trying to get to as many away games as poss desite them mostly at unfamily friendly times! Definately London away even if it is the week prior to the challenge cup final, Manchester again and Just booked my flights for catalans away!!

What deal have you got for Perpig then Nic? Flights & accommodation etc?

Only booked the flights, look into accomodation after xmas. But going easyjet from Luton to Barcelona weds to weds £43 each, train down should be about £31 for us both so still cheaper than up here in the north!

Last two years the team who has played in London the week before Wembley has also been in the Challenge Cup Final

..it's a hell of a start to the campaign,mouthwatering stuff indeed.Each week a game we as fans will be desperate to win for many different reasons.

The opening home game vs London will set us up nicely for the following Sunday and a visit from Wigan.London will be much tougher with Tony Rea in charge,and few injuries.

We need to put up a good fight at Saints in R1 even if we don't come away with a victory.

Then come two games that if we won them both it would just about make my season regardless.Can't think of anything more I would like than a double over Wakefield & Bradford on consecutive weeks.

We managed to book jet2 from Leeds/Bradford to Barcelona for £79 return (Thurs to Monday) which should save us the hassle of travelling down south
