| Defo need to stop the music after tries it just drowns out the crowd reaction and becomes a stupid clap along to the beat. Even worse when it starts choruses of "we all hate Leeds" rather than anything Giants related
While I'm about it - what a dreadful tune it is that plays while we await the team taking the field. Music choices have to be uplifting, tuneful, and there to encourage participation by the crowd surely?
If we really must have music - then must be a standard tune that would encourage fans to continue to sing after it stops or at least consistent so that we know what to expect. I remember the club seemed to embrace the use of the theme to the Great Escape (back in the "keep the faith" days). Something like that would be good as easily chanted to and regular rythmn for those who want to clap along?
Rocking all over the world etc... what the **** has that to do with anything - let alone anything related to the Giants. Dare I mention the awful tunes we had to endure at The Shay last year - WTF was that Saturday night or whatever tune for petes sake?
Would hope that RHP will pick up on this - he will remember Bullmania etc... and much as we don't want that you can't argue with the impact that the right tune can make on the crowd reaction and participation level to singers.
Shall I bring my Fat Boy Slim CD next home game? - Love Island would do nicely thank you a cracking tune that!

Maybe we could steal a song from the towns football team and claim it as our own!
Then we could play it on the tannoy and the players could stand like its the national anthem!

'" I quite like the entrance tune although Wigan's was the best one a few years ago. I'd quite like to hear some dj tiesto for the entrance tune, type in 'Tiesto power mix' into the most popular video sharing site and imagine the players coming out of the tunnel to it.
Love Island is a great tune but not an entrance tune imo.
As for the singing it's always better at away games because the singers sit together and people around them join in. At the Pharm we're too spread out.

| Everyone has their own personal favourites for music, so whatever music is played it will not suit everybody.
Personally I like" Rocking all over the world " after we have scored, it`s beaty and gets most people singing.
As for the players coming out, there are a few, but my personal one would be " Simply the best "

I'd save that for when we win the Grand final
Another good entrance tune would be on the same popular video sharing website 'Immediate Music - Firebender - Epic Choral Action I'

| If enough of you are like-minded in wanting a better atmosphere, meet up and discuss how you can form a group to improve the atmosphere. Thats what we have done at Wigan and the results have been amazing. We now have our specific block at home games where the 'singers' gather.. we have coaches to away games, flags and banners adding to the colour and atmosphere. I think this could go down well at Hudds if you could get the right people involved.

We have had so much success from it. Raised loads of money for charity by having special nights etc. selling merchandise to fund displays. It is a concept which really works and fans will buy into it if it is done the right way.
I understand your concern jools, but we are simply trying to add colour and noise to our games both home and away. Hardly rioting in the streets.
As you can see, our group piles in 8 rows down and we stand and sing through the whole match, other people who want to sing pile in behind us creating a whole block of standing/singing folk. I reckon it could work at Hudds. Get a group standing altogether in a block and the atmosphere will improve straight away.

| Fact is its a good idea to develop the atmosphere. I agree I think this yeart has been poor compared to past seasons. Yet I think the team is actually better than in past years and I have great hopes for year end.
Personally I think it was embarrasing on Sunday as the St Helens supporters were very vocal and put the home fans to shame.
I for one would be more than happy to join in the chants - as would all my family

| We dont need to make a silly group up to say were better fans than you cos we sing and wave flags.........plus IMO thats a younger generations thing, in our main singing group the ages range from 15 ish right up to .....well whatever Greyman is these days
Some of them are not the type to partake in that kind of stuff but do enjoy singing for the team.
The main problem is and always has been the lack of people who join in the singing in any of the stands.
plus the try music is crap GET RID !! the best atmosphere at home games came immediately after scoring and the next couple of minutes after that because people were on a high but now the music comes in straight away and people just sit down when it starts .....if your reading this RHP....please put a stop to it , this isn't Odsal 2000 it wont work here !!

| Knock the concept all you like Daz, but they are the loudest fans that come to our place every year, somethings working, i like the concept, cant see us ever having "ultras" but getting a group together in one spot is a start.

| I'm not knocking it , its worked for Wigan and fair play to them i was basing my point on what i know of our fans.....cant really see some of the people in our fanbase stood up waving flags singing lower division football songs etc....half of them hardly raise a smile when we score.
we do have a group in one spot but the problem there is no one joins in with the singing etc.

| Nothing to do with the age of people Daz. All the active people in the group are 20+, some over 30.
The proof is in the pudding. You don't have to call yourselves ultras. We chose to adapt that model, it is a scene which we like and we are emulating some of the style from europe.
We don't sing lower division football songs either, many of the songs are inspired from mainland europe and south america.
Anyway, you don't have to be called ultras.... just form a group to get the singers together as one and add noise and colour to the stadium.

I can honestly say I don't know a single Wigan fan who thinks they are better than the rest. This is just a made up statement.
We don't think we are better at all, we support the team in the way WE want to. People are welcome to join in or they are welcome to do their own thing.

| the music after a try needs to stop..... like someone has just said it kills the usual chant that we do after we score ending with 'GIANTS'....now we have some trying to do that traditional chant and the rest going half hearted with 'we all hate leeds' rubbish..this has only started this season and spoling the atmosphere
on BIG G i think he is doing ok with his drum.
in an ideal world the singers in the two stands would be merged and in the middle of the stand half way down...but it isnt going to happen so we have to go with what we have got ...just need more to join in

| I sit in the lower third of the BR stand pretty central with my family ranging from grandad to grandson and they all get up for the singing and chanting problem being we are few and far between down there! We see far more people sat clapping when a try is scored rather than jumping in jubilation of it! Would love to get people up and excited!

| Bit late to this thread but...I sometimes join in the singing, but my singing days are done and now Im more into watching the game really.
That said, the singers at the back might have had something to do with it on Sunday, by just going on and on and on and on with "Nathan Browns Claret and Gold Army".
First off, its sounds terrible and doesnt scan properly
Secondly, its a boring song
Thirldy, It sounded off because it doesnt scan
Fourthly, it went on too long.
Normally I am glad to hear the singing and chanting, but on Sunday after this I was just glad when you shut up for a bit.

i honestly dont see what is wrong with that chant, and the whole point of the chant is to go on for a long period like what the barmy army is set out for
